This was my family's first ever RV experience and it was amazing at this resort. The views of the lake were gorgeous, people were quite polite and friendly and the entire park was immaculate. The manager Lisa was terrific and kind and went out of her way to share her grandsons bike with my 10 year old. She also encouraged me to pick as much basil as I wanted from her beautiful garden along the lake (which I did and added to a delicious spaghetti dinner)! Thank you for the hospitality Lisa! We will definitely be coming back for the natural beauty, fishing and atmosphere. I highly recommend Hide-A-Way Harbor!!!!

We just spent a wonderful week here and loved it. We had site 14, which is one of the three lakefront sites and my husband could just walk out the door and fish. The people are so nice, it feels like family and it’s a very quiet place. Lisa Lucente, the manager, is an absolute gem. She is always riding around in her golf cart making sure everyone is doing well. She even brought us treats and a loaf of fresh bread one night. I agree with another guest who mentioned she should be compensated well! She is a wonderful manager and they are very blessed to have her. We did our laundry there and it’s very affordable and super clean. There are no “amenities” you might find in some of the fancier places but we were not looking for that!
I recommended the spaces on the lake or on the canal. We saw some incredibly sunsets each night. I would certainly come again. Now we go back to winter!

Absolutely love this place the residents and the winter people are some of the most amazing people that I've met. The part timers as well. Lisa the manager is so amazing and helpful she does a fantastic job upkeeping the park and taking care of business. We have a million dollar 💵 view every night...

Awesome get away. Quiet, friendly management, amazing views.

Bring the bug spray, citronella candles, etc. as the bugs are especially bad at night. Also bring a hose and water toys during the hot months (no pool). Shower, ice, and laundry is available for a small fee so bring change.

We spent 7 days at Hideaway Harbor and enjoyed every day. Conrad and Lisa, the park managers, were so kind and accommodating.
We saw them daily out and about in the park, talking to customers and offering to help with any issues . The lake was beautiful and my husband caught several large fish! The other customers in the park were so friendly . Even though we were all from different states and even some from Canada, we enjoyed spending time with everyone. I would definitely stay here again and encourage others to visit here!!

We’ve stayed here a few times. We love it so much we keep coming back. The waterfront sites are very affordable especially for what you get. Spectacular sunset views and access to the lake Harris chain of Lakes. Explore various restaurants by boat such as JB’s Boondocks Bar and Grill, Hurricanes Dockside Grill and many more! Don’t have a boat, no problem
! Fish from the spacious gazebo. Or maybe take a drive to the Howey Mansion. Follow up by visiting the Yalaha Bakery. Trust me you won’t be disappointed! Overall there is plenty to do whether you like to get up and go or just relax and take in the view!!

As an edit, to the below post, from years ago:

The park is changing on a positive note.
We have a new manager who genuinely listens, cares, and has implemented changes.
I’m increasing my rating from 3 to 4 stars.
At the rate things are improving, I may increase my rating again soon.

I live in the park. 5 years ago, it was a mom and pop park. (Everybody knew everyone, and we all got along.) But it’s not that way anymore; since the park was sold. (Expect frequent rent increases.)

Now it’s a corporate park. $$$ They are IN CHARGE, you are a NUMBER. Don’t expect compassion, kindness, or loyalty. Which we used to cherish.
