I have been at this hotel for the last month with my husband and daughter, since we were displaced from Hurricane Helene. The hotel itself is so well taken care of, clean, and has everything you could need. They took care of us so well over the last month, we do not have to leave. The front desk staff is so kind and personable. The breakfast is always well-stocked and hot, coffee is always filled, and they have free cookies for guests around dinner as well. A special thanks to Dorian for taking such good care of us and our daughter. Everyone that works here deserves a raise!!! Highly recommend this hotel if you are questioning it - book it!

I checked in late after traveling from the west coast so was too late and exhausted to change hotels. First warning signs was the sheriff in the parking lot. Lobby seemed old but ok. Elevator was having door issues and my floor was bare drywall masking tape with numbers written on the doors. The room was large but very outdated and stained furniture and carpet. The bathroom had moldy caulk and only a shower liner no curtain. I slept in my clothes on top of the covers and didn’t remove my shoes to walk around the room. There was feces on the wall in the bathroom. There were also 2 dogs in the room across the hall who barked all night.||I immediately booked another hotel to move to the next day in a better part of town. Unfortunately I was here on business travel with 7 other people including leadership from my company. The next morning I secured rooms elsewhere and went back to the hotel to check our entire group out and was told the cancellation fee would not be waved. The front desk clerk was extremely rude and refused to let me speak to a manger. She showed me the website declaration of construction which is beyond an excuse for the state of this hostel. I’ve stayed in hotels with worn but normally they close a floor for construction.||It’s clear there are people living in this hotel which is reaping the benefits of a FEMA act of charity to the locals, but I would suggest they have let this hotel go so long and are now using that same assistance for a “renovation” 20 years past due. I agree with the previous review that this hotel is a shelter. Stay clear if you don’t want to feel in danger. ||The manager hides behind their front desk clerks to avoid having to make an excuse for its shameful conditions and clear grab of state funds.||I’ve already received my bill for 2 full nights which was so clearly pointed out by the rude staff I was 30 minutes past check out. ||Be warned. Conrad Hilton is rolling over in his grave.

I would like to recognize Dorene and the staff at the Hampton Inn. You all went above and beyond to make sure that I received my delayed luggage. My luggage did not. make it on my plane and was being delivered to my hotel. Dorene and the staff would regularly update me that my luggage had not yet arrived. Then when I was notified by United Baggage Services that my luggage was delivered yet it was not at the hotel, Dorene went above and beyond by calling local hotels to see if they mistakenly received my luggage. United Baggage Services was unable to locate my luggage but Dorene did. Because of her I did not lose my precious belongings and was able to enjoy the rest of my trip without worries.

Also, the breakfast buffet was amazing. The hotel was currently undergoing renovations, I think it will look nice when those are complete. I didn't have a car, so it was a bit difficult to walk around or access nearby ammenities.

We had an awful experience at this Hampton Inn in Port Richey. As noted by another guest on trip advisor the hotel is under remediation construction (not noted on the Hilton website) and has a majority of their rooms filled with displaced hurricane residents supported by FEMA. I get their dilemma yet not being transparent on construction, nor the displaced residents turning this into an apt building is not acceptable to Hilton guests. Shame on Hilton! We too faced 2 sheriff’s squads while there overnight due to an individual at the front entrance threatening people. The front desk called the sheriff! ||||There are dog residents and their messes around pool fence & out by parking lot. Careful where you walk. ||||We too tried to leave shortly after arrival & were also denied that possibility and they charged us $220.00, it wasn’t worth 50.00!! Not only was it under construction, it was not safe! Definitely not representative of Hilton so we cancelled next 2 nights & moved to a Hilton in Springhill FL and were very pleased. ||||Currently Working with Hilton Diamond services to resolve as the local manager refused to assist us through Hilton customer service line! Best guess is they’re using FEMA. $$ to remodel old facility!||||My guess is

I was in town for New Years to visit family and this was the closest location. This is not up to Hilton/Hampton Inn standards. When I walked in the lobby, it smelled musty, pet urine, and cigarettes. There were people lounging and each of them greeted the employee by name (thought this was odd because it was like they knew her). I waited to check in since the person at the desk was assisting someone on the phone stating the hotel was booked and trying to refer other hotels in the area. She told the man on the phone that people were living in the hotel that were displaced from the hurricane 3-4 months ago. When I checked in and got to the room, it smelled and looked like a room from 40 years ago. We immediately left and stayed at another hotel. I did call Hilton and explained and am still waiting for a refund from the hotel.

If there are going to be people living, that are not the cleanest and have pets, etc. put a notice on your hotel location so guests that are paying and visiting will know.

The girl at the desk was pleasant and provided great service.

I am a Hilton Honors member..I am not picky...I stayed at Hilton Tarpon Springs and expected the same quality...oh boy...was I wrong..this hotel is undergoing renovations...containers all over the parking lot..there are no parking lot lights working..we parked basically in the dark..didn't feel safe leaving our car overnight..we checked in..immediately noticed what appeared to be maybe displaced people? taking meal containers off the admitting desk...like..tons of them...they were drinking coffee in the lounge...this seemed odd...we thought maybe they are hurricane displaced people who the state or county is paying for them to stay? I'm all for that..but it's a little offsetting...our room was standard...in morning our hair dryer didn't work..i went to call down the desk...phone is dead..totallly..no dial tone..is this a joke? ..My hubby tracked down a maid and she found a hair dryer...|The bed was uncomfortable..shower very hard to regulate.we're told all this will be remodeled..I think the room charge should be reflective of all this chaos...I will never stay there again..

Someone stole a Hampton Inn sign & put it on a Red Roof Inn
We drove up to the building & there were 3 people smoking while sitting in wheelchairs. It reminded me of driving up to a nursing home. Something did not seem right. Walked into the building @ there were containers of meals sitting on a table to grab and go.
Went to our room & the walls down the hall were stripped while the carpet was soiled & bubbled. The room didn’t smell the best & the furniture was very worn.
We found out that the hotel is being used for “displaced” hurricane victims from (4 months ago). This Hampton has turned into a SHELTER.
This is not a Hampton!!!

Positive: "" Negative: The staff was so friendly, including housekeeping, maintenance and the kitchen. The breakfast was very good and especially on Tuesdays they had Western Omelet. Yummy!
