We were saddened upon initial arrival as it was snowing quite heavily and we didn’t think we would see anything. We were terribly mistaken! Not only did we get some amazing views, but we didn’t have to fight for parking or anything as it was very low attendance due to the weather! No wait at entry either! It was an absolutely wonderful visit!

We got to go see the Grand Canyon today. It was fantastic by far more beautiful than I could ever imagine. I’ve been wanting to go see this since I was a little kid and it really did hit the spot. If you can go see all of it, maybe go during the fall or spring. We went during the winter after a snowstorm, unfortunately and some of the park was closed due to ice, nothing they could do all the park. Rangers were super nice about it and helped us out to see everything we could. We had a fantastic time and I highly recommend this experience to anyone who is thinking about going.

This is a great place to settle down after a long drive from one of the nearby places like Las Vegas, They have everything that a weary tourist needs, a restaurant, washrooms, parking, connecting buses and jeeps to nearby viewpoints, etc. There is also a MAX theater, but I did not book a show there. ♿ The parking and the visitor center are all accessible including the washrooms.

(December 2021 travel story) Winter season travel may not be popular for this amazing place in the world, but watching the canyon covered in snow has it's own charm and mysterious vibe to it. Season changes 4-5 times in the span of day here during December so always be prepared with everything you got. Highly recommend to always keep large umbrella, face coverings and snow brush for the car, in hand. travel in groups if possible, snow storms makes it very easy to loose direction and trails. During heavy storm, bus routes will avoid parts of kaibab trails, hiking down will not be permitted all the time either. Bus seats are limited, however they come every half an hour or so. Driving own vehicle is allowed, but most vehicles and/or drivers are not prepared to go through the slippery, narrow roads, we saw many cars going off track within hours. Do not park at no-parking spots and go off to shoot photos, maintenance will remove the car. Try to get out of the park around dusk time, since bad weather makes the traffic very slow and there was one main entrance/exit. The ticket is good for 7 days so you can always come back.

Really impressive information boards, buses are clean and run really efficiently. I was super impressed. Bathrooms were not really well kept, but considering how many people use them, you can understand why they’d be hard to keep tidy.

Visited for the first time on the weekend (saturday in early Oct.) and boy was it beyond packed, just walking around you were typically behind someone or besides them. None the less- truely remarkable veiws to be seen if you have not witnessed it in person. Rv parking at campgrounds inside are cramped and cost nightly which are good if you plan to stay for the day to really explore. If i visit again it is going to be to explore the inner canyon and or kayake. The most fun looks below as mostly everything above is photo/relaxing points to be had. Regardless of what your looking for it has many tables for picnic spots, pull offs (no overnights), market place and plenty of buildings and signs with info for more.

**!!Beware: please be slow coming in past the main gate about 10 min in there are tons of wildlife close to the road!! Just on our way in i saw over 15 just CLOSE enough to the road!!**

Aside from the extensive crowds it was well worth the visit. Definantly a national park you want to visit if you end up being able to make plans to stay and really enjoy the things the park has to offer.

5 stars because of the amazing views! Thank you mother nature🤩 Heads up...check the website or call for info Because the visitor center wasn't open due to low staffing. And the bathrooms were atrocious, again, I'm guessing due to short staff. I have been here 4 other times and the bathrooms were never like that.

Highly recommend watching the sunset!
