For anyone looking for an adventure, the Gold Mine Experience in Wickenburg is a must! To get there, you’ll need a higher profile vehicle—a regular car won’t cut it. The journey is worth it, though. The owners are extremely friendly and very knowledgeable, making the experience both fun and educational. Highly recommend checking them out for a unique and memorable adventure!

This place is now my favorite mine to visit. The owners are amazing. Just meeting and talking with them for a short while, you can tell they just do this for everyone’s experience of the place. There is food, music, gifts, panning, exploring, clean bathrooms, and is very kid friendly. Accessible with any small SUV or larger vehicle. A small sedan too low to the ground might not clear some areas. I drove 2 hours from the valley just to visit this place and I was not disappointed by any means.

Such a great experience with some history about the gold mine and surrounding area. Great mine and an awesome mine tour. This is a working gold claim/mine and the owners are great people. The whole experience for kids and adults alike is like nothing else. Food, drinks and some live music in the middle of the desert/mountains. We spent the entire day there and will be frequenting this place.

Fantastic hidden gem; Rollie/Rolley is a great guise and has put a ton of work into this spot. It's all still coming together, but it's worth a visit right now to see the UV reactive cave, the gold ore body, and other various geological wonders inside.

This place is awesome and hard to believe it's not finished. It is going to be epic and a regular stop on our UTV's tours. We took a large group and they were very accommodating.

If you like western and mining this is the place for you! It is in the beginning stages but still awesome! Ron Nix gave us a personal tour and you can see how much effort is going into it. Met Rollie Stevens and his wonderful wife. What an honor to meet such special people. We loved it my husband loved the gold panning and we enjoyed going into a real mine. Hope it keeps getting better. Plan on going back in a few months!

drive up is a little scary(narrow dirt roads with steep fall offs). make it early and make sure you have good tires (for the rocks).
AWD not needed. It is worth the drive though. super cool and interesting mine and owners are great people.

If your looking for an adventure in the Historic Gold Mining backcountry of Arizona this is it! The dirt road is a bit rough in spots but I didn't need 4x4 in my P/U, any higher clearance vehicle shouldn't have any problem. The owner and the man building his dream Rollie Stevens is very welcoming! He arranged for a member of his crew, Ron Nix to give me a personal tour of one of the Gold Mines that goes 1000's of feet into the mountain, very interesting! He also allowed me to prospect for gold on the 100+ acre property and said I could keep any gold I found, so bring your metal detector, you might get lucky!
I'll be going back next time I'm in the Wickenberg area!
