Derek put together a whole itinerary for my family of five people coming from all different cities. The private tours that he found were seriously awesome; hiking through the majestic redwoods all the way to the ocean, the next day mountain biking through a forest, and last but not least kayaking in a calm beach right by the ocean! He made everything so simple for us from finding and scheduling our flights, rental car, nice clean hotel in our budget, private tours, self guided hikes and attractions, and recommendations for the best food in the area. He is very attentive and can cater to you and your family requests. We will definitely be working with Go Legendary Adventures and Derek again.

Derek put together an amazing itinerary for us to celebrate my daughters 11th birthday. Because we didn’t have a solid idea of what we wanted to do, Derek started by asking what types of things we like to do and then pulled together a few options for us to choose from. We ended up settling on a weekend trip to Catalina Island jam packed with outdoor activities. I didn’t have to lift a finger, from transportation to the island, hotel accommodations, dining options, to the entrance to all of our scheduled activities. Everything went smoothly and we had Ana amazing time. We would use Legendary Tours again!!

I've been wanting to visit the Channel Islands for over a year now. While doing my own research and trying to put together a day trip on my own, I discovered Go Legendary Adventures. From the very start Derek was so incredibly helpful and accomodating. Planning a group trip for my birthday during COVID-19 time proved to be more difficult than I'd anticipated. But Derek was so patient, understanding, and flexible. I especially appreciated his flexibility when the initial group size dwindled down. I was instantly impressed with the detailed itinerary he had created for the trip.
The initial plan was to kayak and then go hiking. Derek really tried his best to get us as much time on the island as possible. He anticipated needs and really rolled with the punches when it came to super last minute changes. He went above and beyond to make sure we all had a nice time. That we did. On the way to the Santa Cruz Island we saw several pods of dolphins. While kayaking, we saw different kinds of birds and seals up close. The winds and waves ensured that we got a full body workout while kayaking. We spent all our time on the water, which was fine. It was so helpful to not have to be the person having to monitor time, purchased ferry tickets, etc...Another benefit of having Derek as a guide was learning about the history and ecology of the islands. Others who were also heading to the islands by ferry were ear-hustling while he was giving us info. Having a knowledgeable guide beats trying to go it on your own. Thanks in large part to this wonderful experience put together by Derek, I'm really looking forward to returning to the islands and planning another Go legendary adventure.

Our family did a 6 hour private tour with Derek in LA and we had a great time. He knows all there is to know about LA, Hollywood, and Beverly Hills and our family really hit it off with him. His tour was easily the best thing we did while visiting LA and I would highly recommend him. We will definitely use Derek again

My husband and I typically steer clear of anything deemed “touristy” but I can not recommend Go Legendary Tours enough! Derek was not only super knowledgeable about Los Angeles (food scene, hikes, under the radar adventuring) but he’s super cool and easy to hang out with. He helped my husband and I plan our 3 week honeymoon in Italy and everything he recommended was absolutely fantastic. He’s definitely my favorite person to get advice from whenever my husband and I travel somewhere new. Can’t recommend him enough!

've had such a great experience working with Derek for all of my travel needs. He has been instrumental in helping us plan a trip to Mexico that includes a very large group of 30-50 people so it's very confusing and there is a ridiculous amount of coordination and communication required with every person that we invited that must be a true headache, but I didn't have to deal with any of this because I hired Derek! To add even more chaos and confusion to the mix, we had to move this trip TWICE due to the pandemic. He never missed a beat and was so great at rescheduling everything for every single one of our guests and talking with them at length about the different options they had for flights, rooms, activities etc. Without him - there is no way we would've been able to pull off this trip. We also had some concerns about the weather in Cancun since we had to move the trip to September and it was very apparent when we brought this up that he isn't just any ordinary travel agent, he really invests time to learn about the area and really know all the details because he sent us great information that addressed our weather concerns and also brought up a really important seaweed issue we were completely unaware of. I guess certain parts of Mexico have seaweed washed up on their beaches at certain times of the year but he was able to give us a bunch of research and insight from his personal experiences on this issue that addressed all our concerns! I can tell he is extremely passionate about traveling and puts a lot of effort into researching everything about the place he is planning a trip for. He is such a wealth of knowledge and had great suggestions and solutions for any concern or problem that we came across.
One of my favorite parts about working with Derek though, is his personality. His ridiculously funny sense of humor and level of customer service is truly unparalleled. He makes the whole experience of planning a very complicated trip so enjoyable! It was actually a really fun experience to figure it all out and I was able to relax knowing he was handling all of the things I KNOW I wouldn't have considered or forgotten.
As the world opens up and more travel opportunities present themselves, I wouldn't think of working with anyone else OR trying to plan any trips myself, working with Derek has forever changed my life and how I will travel! It's truly hard to put into words how great the experience has been so if you are considering hiring Derek to help you with your travel needs, just trust me and DO IT! You will not regret it, I promise you!

Derek designed a tour around Los Angeles for me and my family who were visiting from out of town and it was AMAZING!! I'm from LA and as a local, you feel like you know everything there is to know about Los Angeles, but boy was I wrong! Derek showed us a ton of cool new spots all around the city and knew a crazy amount of history about Los Angeles that was pretty mind blowing. We went all over from Downtown to Hollywood to Santa Monica and needless to say, my family (and myself) were completely wowed by the experience! My family already wants to come back and try out one of his other tours 🙂 we highly recommend Derek and GoLegendary for any travel or tour needs

I was having a hard time finding a tour with the itinerary we were looking for, but luckily I came across Go Legendary's website! We told Derek what we were looking for (a little hiking, some beaches, good food, good wine) and he put together a perfect day for us. Every spot he took us too was perfect and he was a great person to spend a day with (knowledgeable, friendly, etc). The experience is exactly what I was hoping for and I would definitely recommend him to any friends / family looking for a unique experience in LA.
