I'll try my best to keep this short, but there is so much to say. In July 2023 I got engaged, shortly after that my fiancé asked me what my dream wedding was. Being a hiker it was an easy answer, I wanted to get married on top of a mountain. His response was, let's make it happen. I began searching. To my luck I stumbled unto Glacier Lookout in Valdez, Alaska and thought it would be the perfect location to get married! From the beautiful pictures on the website and instagram we were thrilled! Got in contact and got booked in! Jenny was such a pleasure to organize our trip with and shared in our enthusiasm of getting married! Partnered with VS helicopters, we planned out our trip!

The year flies by and we were on our way to Alaska. We unfortunately just missed the nice weather and was welcomed with clouds and rain, but we did not let that bring down our spirits. My fiancé and I hiked to the lookout, where although the views were minimal we did get to see a group of mountain goats with young ones that became a highlight of our stay in the clouds. On July 4th, 2024 we were fortunate to fly family members to the lookout to stay the day and help us get married. It was all the best adventure of my life, I still can't believe we managed to say I do in truly one of the most incredibles places I've been to. In all the years to come this will forever be my favorite story to tell.

My recommendation, you can NOT beat booking with Alaska Guide Company. The knowledge and experience on top of great personalities will make your wildest dreams come true. Even after hiking off the mountain the next day with nothing else planned, they scheduled us for a canoe trip. It was amazing to see the icebergs up close and we had a great time! Zach took amazing photos. Both Zach and Jenny are so kind and a pleasure to work with! We can't wait to come back and celebrate all our anniversaries to come!

An Amazing once in a lifetime experience! I recently visited the Glacier Lookout for a Full Alaska Experience of Picturesque Views, Spectacular Glacier and Iceberg observations, exciting hikes and wonderful alpine wildlife. It is an adventure never to be forgotten! Glacier Lookout is the perfect spot to cuddle up on top of a mountain and soak in all the world around you has to offer. This is a must do when visiting Valdez or Alaska for the first time.

One of the first to check out glacier lookout. Beautiful scenery, the helicopter ride was exciting. Peaceful get away! The lookout was looked like a forest ranger tower. Thanks
