Wonderful monument of history, the murals inside are amazing!. Impressive structure built during 1932, local riverbed limestone and marble accents.
It is a part of the National Park Service so everything is free, but they do have donation boxes littered around to collect money. Visitor center is not much to speak of unfortunately, small displays of the fort that once was, few artifacts, and mannequin displays of French, English, American, frontier soldiers together with a mismanaged gift shop; but the 30 minute video regarding Clark is certainly worth the time for a history aficionado. Story is well told and descriptive with actual lettered accounts of the Revolutionary War times in frontier being fought over still known as Northwest Territory, which later become Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Eastern parts of Minnesota.

Nice visitors center for the GRC Memorial. Plenty of historical information to read about. The park ranger that was working the day that I stopped was very friendly and answered a few questions I had.

Great national park to stop at if you're in the area. It's well kept and you can catch everything in under an hour. They have a small gift shop, museum and a theatre where they tell you a great story about the history of George Rogers Clark. I won't spoil it for you. It is good to remember the positive qualities of those who came before us, and reflect on what can be done better. This monument to those who sacrificed in the revolution seems like it could be right in the heart of D.C. You can go inside it, there are some great murals and architecture. Best of all, it's free. Get some history!

Perhaps one of the most underrated NPS sites in the country. This was around our 170th NPS site and we were astounded at its beauty, low-key and charming small town atmosphere, and the impressiveness of the monument and well cared-for grounds. This was an unexpected highlight on our RV travels!

The park is well worth a visit. Start at the visitors center, where there is plenty of parking, and then make your way to the Monument to go inside to learn the history. Visit the Church next store when done.
