Carol at Generations at Neighbors is comforting, and caring. Carol explained how you need a referral to have a loved one stay with Generations at Neighbors. For someone who is new at this and have a Brother who suffered a life unexpected illness it is nice to find caring people. I dropped off my Brother's Medical records today to have them make copies. Sam who answers the phone, and greets you is amazing, as well as the staff that I saw. The Lobby is everything that the pictures show, and Generations does not remind you of your typical depressing nursing homes that you walk in. I wish I would have contacted Generations first with my Brother. My Brother is in a horrible depressing place currently, and I wish I would have known what was offered in the local community. Alicia - another great person who turns around your feelings of doing everything wrong for your family member. My Brother is not here yet, but I am praying it happens because Generations feels like home.

The staff at Generations has been awesome to work with and everyone really cares about the patients. The facility itself is beautiful, very clean, alot of spots to sit and visit, fun things for patients to do and very welcoming. We would highly recommend Generations if you are looking for a care center for a loved one.

I am a part-time caregiver for my grandmother. In 2020, she was admit into Generations at Neighbors facility in Byron, Illinois for rehab after having a knee replacement. My grandmother has had many surgeries and has been in a handful of nursing/care facilities. Generations at Neighbors is, in her opinion and mine, by far the best facility she has been in so far. The nursing staff is patient, attentive and always on top of everything immediately. The Activities Department is amazing and always has activities such as bingo, church services and more for her to participate in. Housekeeping is nonstop around the building keeping it extremely clean, always. The Admissions Director is awesome and very, very helpful with everything regarding my grandmother's admission and more. The Administrator is extremely attentive to everything that goes on in the building each and every day, ensuring the best care possible in their facility. I 100% recommend this facility to any and every one that may need to stay in a nursing facility for a short or extended period of time. I will be bringing my grandmother back here should she have the need to after future surgeries, procedures, etc.

If you are looking for a place that will treat your loved one like absolute family, you WILL find it here!! From the moment we walked into Generations at Neighbors, and were greeted by Kayley, we knew instantly that it was meant to be. Our mom was there from April 2022 until November 2022, and we canโ€™t say enough good about each person that cared for her. Itโ€™s hard to feel at ease when entrusting someone you love very much in the hands of other people. Thankfully we could take a deep breath knowing that the staff had her best interest at heart all the time! From her aids in which mom referred to as her kids to each and every nurse they all became family. Not only to mom but to all of us!! The rehab team is unbelievable, and so caring! Julie the nurse practitioner is an angel and was so intuitive to what needed to be done to care for mom the best way possible. Our mom was a kidney dialysis patient and their on-site dialysis team were very special girls that went above and beyond, even when it became very difficult for her to tolerate her sessions. At the end when our mom decided that she wanted to discontinue dialysis and was ready to be with Jesus, the staff did what they always did best. They made mom feel comfortable and at home. Our family gathered around and loved on her until she was in the hands of her Heavenly Father. It was something very special to witness each person that had cared for her come in to hug and tell her they loved her. The tears filled the room because they all truly had become like family to not only mom but to all of us!! We canโ€™t say thank you enough!! Generations will always hold a special place in our hearts!! โค๏ธ Family of Deborah Breidenbach

My father could barely stand upon coming to Generations, within 2.5 weeks he was taking almost 500 steps!! He could dress himself, feed himself, go to the bathroom on his own. We canโ€™t give a high enough review for this establishment and their hard working staff!!!! Thank you so much from Richard and the entire family!

I have mixed opinions about this place. My mom was resident from October of 2020 till May of 2021. The pictures on the website make the place look like a resort, but the it's the exact opposite when patients are moved to permanent rooms. The permanent rooms are dark, and sad. New things, but dark. My mom was not mis-treated; but the level of care was minimal. I truly believe it was due to being extremely short staffed. Especially at the heightened of the pandemic. I try to write this review without emotions attached. But, it is difficult considering the last time I got to hug my mom was in October of 2020 and touch her once again, after she passed on May of 2021. Going through the whole winter of not even having window visits. Then even after being vaccinated they made it near impossible to have any type of visits. It's heart wrentching....I do believe it better then most facilities as far as being clean....but compassion and care are subpar due to lack of staff.

They did such a good job taking of my mom while she was here. She is now able to sit up and wheel herself around, which she hadn't been able to do since she had a stroke, she even liked the food. Everyone was so nice and helpful which was a welcome change from the other nursing home she had been in. We are luckily able to take her home now but this is one place I wouldn't mind her having to stay.
