Definitely worth a visit when you're in the area try to go when they are open for the guests center because it has a really cool set up of stuffed birds. Trails around are well maintained and easily accessible for family of all ages.

Beautiful park in a convenient location that is a great place to winter snowshoe. The visitor center is a great place to take the family, Snowshoes are available to rent, $10 for adults, and $5 for kids

Super helpful and one of the best National Forest Visitors Centers I’ve enjoyed. You can tell the locals take a lot of pride in the facility as it is well decorated with tons of very helpful information. We took a quick hike on the snow and it was fantastic.

Stop by and visit the staff in the visitor center! There's always things to explore inside. Public programs and children's exploration camps are also offered. There is an amazing mural inside the visitor center.

Nice place to start off for going on the trails. They have a small gift shop inside. They do not sell food, but there is a gas station down the street.

This is a nice place to spend time with family and friends.

Great place to stop on the way to Mt Rose Ski Area during the winter. The staff was helpful with restaurant ideas and other things to do in this area. Zip lining in tahoe was he bomb
