Stopped in here the other day to grab some brochures and it’s the cutest little visitor center ever! The lady working behind the desk was super nice, and I def recommend stopping in if you’re looking for some recs of what to do in Galena.

Nice place to see some history, read some history and learn something's you might not have known about. You can also have a seat and play some checkers with a family member or buddy.

Great place to stop and visit when in town, especially pairs well with a tour of the Grant Home. The front door could be better signed, as the entrance, but once inside, the layout is open and the info abundant.

Small Visitor Center. Not a lot of helpful information on the history of the area. The DeSoto house, on Main Street, has two videos that run continuously that are free for the public to view in their " quiet room". If you're a history buff these are very good and informative. My wife fell asleep during them but that says more about her then the videos themselves.

The ladies here are so sweet and kind. Must stop in for a plethora of menus, lodging choices, and shopping information. Grab the Galena visitors guide with 2 maps and lits of points of interest labeled. The sweet ladies here can answer any question you have and give you information about events not listed in the visitors guide (like the Saturday Farmers Market!!). Also, there is a public bathroom close by that is clean, smells nice, and always contains soap and tissue.
