Highlight of our trip! We had 9 paddlers. Peter and the team at French Broad were amazing. They were safe/professional and funny/entertaining. We did the half day and will definitely do the full day when we go again. The river water was clean, although there is still a lot of debris above the river banks.

We did the 1/2 day white water rafting trip with Richard as our guide and it was amazing!! The scenery is stunning!! The trip was the perfect length for us beginners with rapids that were fun, but not too challenging. We also got to jump off a baby cliff into the water and swim through some slow rapids. So fun, I definitely recommend the trip!

The booking, communication, and customer service were all top notch, smooth, and easy. But most of all, Richard made our trip! He was very knowledgeable about the history of the river and the area and's he knew the river like the back of his hand. With the directions and guidance he gave us, we knew we were safe with him. He could also be a stand up comedian, he was hilarious! We had the best trip, and hope to do it again next year!

We had a blast white water rafting with Kerrie. We loved her adventurous attitude. She really made sure we hit the rapids just right for the most bang and biggest splashes. Half of our group had never been rafting before and everyone felt safe. When we weren't paddling, we were joking, sharing stories, and laughing almost non-stop. We booked a half day tour and wished we had booked the full day. We also did the waterfall rappel with Mars and Colin. They were terrific guides and we loved the experience. The hike in and out is nice and the waterfall is beautiful. They drove us to the location and we all joked and shared stories throughout the day. We were a group of 8, ages 20 - 70. If we are back in this area, we will definitely adventure with FBA again.

So we were the first trip to go down the river this year since the hurricane and it was just an amazing/emotional trip. We had an awesome river guide, Ellie, who was very informative and also volunteered with the fire department and rescue during the hurricane, so to hear her story of this tragedy and to go down the river with her and have her tell us her story was truly heart warming! This was such a fun trip and the river was exciting with so many rapids! Definitely worth it!!!

Had an awesome time white watering rafting for the first time. The guides are great and they make the whole experience (even the bus ride) enjoyable from beginning to end. The views from the water are simply breathtaking. Pricey but worth every penny.

We did the mountain biking tour this morning and loved it! Tyler was an awesome guide and not only shared some fun stories with us, but made sure we were comfortable and safe. He was patient as I figured out how to make right turns (Indy blood just wasn’t letting it happen) and picked up on when we were really ready to fly! Thanks for a great trip, Tyler!

Went for a calm water tour and it was a great relaxing way to spend the afternoon. They provided splash gear which is essentially high end rain gear and way exceeded expectations. Probably the best gear I've ever been provided rafting. For once I would say weather would not shy me away from running with this crew. Rain or shine you're going to have a great time. It was only 50 deg today and we had smaller children and they even stayed warm. If you forget something they have a great store with everything from clothes to water shoes, to water socks and it's all quality items that aren't throw away when you're done. Very impressed!

This was the perfect trip for the people in my group who were new to white water rafting, able to experience rapids without getting scared or falling out!
Everything was thoroughly discussed ensuring our safety, alleviating any fears or concerns, the guide even made the bus ride down and back enjoyable with his sense of humor!
Would be great for families with kids as well
