Outdoor museum with a small train depot that serves as a gift shop and a place to buy tickets for trolley rides. Stall is knowledgeable and passionate about their collection.

Be sure to visit the website for the construction detour. We followed Google Maps which had us turn into someone's private driveway.

Great place to spend some time outdoors. You can pay $8 to ride one of the trains to the forest preserve for a picnic and then ride it back. The operators of the train give you fun facts and historical information as you ride. Children under a certain age are free.

This train museum is famous and they have a ride as well for a particular distance. This ride is for people of all ages. Ticket cost is around 10 to 15 dollars. The car is free and available in plenty. 1800, 1900 centurion trains are maintaining here. Kids will love this place much.

Note : no food available in this place we need to arrange on our own.

The whole experience was a great family outing and definitely a historic treat. The staff were very friendly and informative, telling the passengers anything they needed to know about trolleys. Definitely a fun time and would like to return soon.

I have a two year old who is obsessed with trains. This is the closest train museum near me and I had to take him. The whole ride there and once he got there was pure excitement. He couldn’t wait to get out and had to to ride as many times as possible. The workers were very knowledgeable. Kid friendly, and workers were very understanding and two year old sleepy/nap time fit. The fact that they let the kids blow the whistle was amazing and made every child aboard so happy! Anyone who has a kid interested in trains definitely recommend it good for all ages.

If you want to do something different this is it.. I loved the ride..the trolley is filled with old ads from back than. There's so much history and they tell you some of it during the ride. I wish there was more to look at and other trains to ride.

Went here on a homeschool field trip and the kids really enjoyed it. They took us for a ride in the trolley and gave us the history of the other trains parked at the museum.
