Sheryl, the general manager of this hotel, is absolutely incredible. She embodies hospitality in every move she makes and word she speaks. We asked for an upgrade to the whirlpool suite on our second night and she expedited having it cleaned to fulfill our request. She gave us treats for our dog, a great recommendation for a walk at the nearby marina where we saw a beautiful Veteran’s memorial, and showered us with compliments about how we made such a great couple. We weren’t sure what to expect in terms of how LGBTQ friendly the place would be never having been to the Reno area before, but Sheryl made us feel like we were right at home. Thank you so much for a fantastic stay!

Small rooms that are not well insulated to noise and temperature changes; howver, the staff are wonderful. New carpets and paint are a good look. The General Manager is warm and bubbly. No major complaints. Will likely stay here again when in town on business

PLEASE, STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL AND THEIR PARENT COMPANY, CHOICE HOTELS.
I stayed here on December 20, 2024. I had initially booked the room for December 20 to December 23, but due to my girlfriend having a medical emergency and the ambulance having to come, I ended up departing and checking out on December 21, 2024, around 10 AM.
A week or two later, I was receiving emails about my stay, asking for a review. I reached out and asked about the possibility of a refund for the days that I wasn't there, and I was denied. According to the GM, it is WoodSprings's policy to not issue any refunds.
This was frustrating because I had booked the stay through their parent company, Choice Hotels, and there was no mention of there being a "no refund policy. " I contacted Choice and reviewed my confirmation email, and Choice defers all of the policies to their subsidiaries, so there will never be any kind of ethics or accountability from these companies.

Maria J./Larry/Sheryl the whole staff was excellent with accommodating my whole Company during our stay. The best customer service experienced during a hotel stay. I would give them 10 stars if I could. Booking our next stay here for sure. Thank you

Great place, poor customer experience. The manager argued with us about a room that we did not cancel, when it was in fact a simple confusion due to the crowd at counter at the moment of checkin. He charged us for the extra room, even though we were there. Continued arguing with us. The customer doesn’t count there. Therefore we had to pay 193$ extra charge. Oh yeah, im a platinum elite at the Marriott.. way to treat your elite status… 🙁 I will never go back there.

The rooms are okay, but you can tell it's been a while since they remodeled the rooms. It's easy access to the highway and you can barely hear the traffic.

They have some super friendly staff. Thanks Adam and Cheryl for making our stay super welcome. Would recommend this place.

Room was nice but really small for $227.00 for one night. Upon arriving and getting a first floor room found that the outside window to the parking lot was open and could have easily allowed someone to come in. Maintenance fixed it but it was a little disconcerting. Everything else was fine and the morning buffet was very good. There was an additional charge on my credit card for $22.00 that wasn't explained and that was irritating. I would stay there again however as the inconveniences mentioned weren't disqualifying.Customer service at the counter and from housekeeping were very good.
