Stayed a Friday overnight for a function in the area. The place is somewhat rundown - the parking lot needs work, the water pressure was lacking, the elevator was out and the pool was closed. But it also seemed like they were making efforts to improve. Morning coffee was good and the breakfast smelled great - I didn't try any though. The room was clean and quiet - we were on the first floor by the door. The staff were friendly. I would visit again to see if it's getting better. It is in a nice location.

In fact, the entire Inn was spotless!
The complimentary breakfast is enough to get your day started, and there is coffee, tea, and hot chocolate available 24/7.
This is our 3rd stay.

We stayed here while visiting family at Thanksgiving. The toilet took 5 minutes to fill the tank AND had a very slow drain.

Our son slept on the pull out couch. The comforter had peanuts and Carmel on it from an eaten candy bar. Evidently it wasn’t washed. It was very disgusting and dirty.

The dresser holding the tv had a drawer that kept leaning out even when you pushed it in.

When we checked out, we were given 12 dollars off our bill. What a joke.

Will never stay there again and wouldn’t recommend this motel to anyone

Furniture held together with blue painters tape and falling apart and towel racks not screwed in all the way. The bath room was old and dirty. Would never stay here again. Gross!!! The management said they were not supposed to sell the room, but they made no attempt to move us when we alerted them of the problem. I’m a titanium life time and I have never been to a worse room in any country. 3rd world countries had better hotels!

Positive: Easy check in. Negative: It is too funny that I live a few blocks away from this hotel for over a decade and I had no idea how large it was or that it had a pool. There are a lot of long corridors. We had quite a lengthy walk through several corridors before getting to our room.

My family & I stayed here last weekend for a hockey tournament. After reading reviews before arriving, we were hesitant, but to our surprise it wasn't anything like the reviews posted. There are definitely things to do to improve the hotel as it a little dated, but after speaking to management they are currently making changes.  Things take time, new owners just took over 3 months ago.  The staff were very friendly & accommodating. I felt the hotel was in a good location and had everything we needed during our stay.  I can only assume from the comments now that a guest was under some contract to stay an allotted amount of time and their plans changed and wanted out. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here if my travels brought me to the St Charles area again. Thanks again to the staff.

Our Hockey team was placed at this hotel. After reading the reviews I was very skeptical on staying here. We decided to take a risk. As soon as I walked in the front desk guy was very nice. The hotel is definitely an older hotel and they are putting alot of work into it.
Most importantly the hotel was clean the beds were new and the staff was very nice and welcoming to us. It’s also in a great location as well.

I enjoy staying at Fairfield Inn's, Very consistent between most all of the locations. I just want to point out one problem with this one. I was in room 216 for 2 nights during Thanksgiving, The noise from the elevator made it difficult to get to sleep, and stay asleep. By 2 AM it was quiet, and the rest of the night was good. Their great beds made the noise a bit more tolerable.| Everything else was great. I will stay again, just an FYI .
