I have never before posted a negative review about a business, but Eva’s Best Travel has earned it. If you are a comedy writer considering a script about a travel agency seemingly determined to frustrate its clients at every turn, you have come to the right place.

You expect an agent to be able to personalize an itinerary based on her own travel experience and on her understanding of your individual interests and budget. As we have discovered, Eva instead relies on her “business partners,” mega-agencies whom she keeps at arm’s length from her customers. This two-step makes the process of travel planning unnecessarily complicated, time consuming, impersonal and error-prone.

My impression is that Eva places commissions above customers. For example, she tried to tie a refund to our agreeing to spend three times its value on future trips.

I am sorry to be one-sided in my comments but I have never experienced a service business quite as emotionally exhausting and untrustworthy. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere, or these days DIY.

Eva was wonderful! This was our second trip booked through her. She makes the process easy and we trust her reccomendations. We had a wonderful family vacation in Jamaica that we will never forget. She even called to check in on us after hearing our fly was delayed. Great experience!
