When my friend Ryan and founder of ECA asked me if I wanted to experience the trip of a lifetime I said yes and he was there every step of the way, pun intended. I was treated to all the pre-trip planning necessary to ease my apprehension and inform me on what to expect. Whether it was physical or mental training to equipment prep or dietary suggestions. Ryan was informative and reassuring.

During our adventure Ryan not only guided our hikes, he taught me about geology and altitudinal zonation. I'm a self proclaimed nerd so I loved this stuff. We talked about life, we sang at the top of our lungs, met some really cool people and became one with nature.

Although having my good friend as a guide was integral to my trip it was more than that. This review is also about deciding to go on amazing backcountry hikes that very few people can say they have conquered. I experienced a lot of firsts on this trip that will encourage and guide me in the future. It truly was an emotional, spiritual, physical, and an amazing time. Having Elite Custom Adventures and Ryan by my side was the cherry on top.

Ryan not only has an incredible ability to capture stunning moments in nature through his photography, he also created a custom trip that allowed us to experience these moments personally. We've never had anyone take so much time and effort to create an absolutely breath-taking adventure that we will never forget. We can't wait to take another journey with him and experience the less traveled roads and hidden gems away from all the traditional tourist traps.
