We just returned from a relaxing and rejuvenating stay at Egg Cottage. Communication with Susan was excellent, and we appreciated the Door County guides and suggestions she provided before our stay, and the helpful guidebook she left in the cottage with all sorts of insider info. The cottage décor was cozy and comfortable, and we loved all the attention to details. There are detailed instructions for every appliance and anything you need to know about the cottage. Susan thought of everything! Loved the coffee bar, games, books, and all the other ways we were made to feel welcomed, including a delicious basket of local food items. The view from the backyard was picture perfect, and the screened gazebo was a delightful place for morning coffee. I highly recommend Egg Cottage if coming to Door County!

My wife and I have been vacationing in Door County fairly regularly over more than thirty years. We stayed at various places advertising a more adult-focused experience, but these were always larger facilities for multiple hotel guests.

I always thought that it would be wonderful to purchase a second home that we could stay at to enjoy the County and increase our privacy and solitude. It was not hard, however, to talk myself off of that ledge when I realized a vacation property owns you, not the other way around.

Enter Egg Cottage.

My wife found out about Egg Cottage this year while thumbing through a Door County Visitor’s guide. She mentioned it to me in passing. I looked it over on their web page and found what looked to me like the answer to all of my essential requirements for a fabulous place to live for a week or so in our favorite vacation destination without having to buy my very own maintenance opportunity.

I found a perfect week not too far from our wedding anniversary and booked it. The web pages were accurate:

magnificent view of the bay,
cozy and comfortable cottage,
large private yard, and
all necessary modern conveniences.

If you are looking for an “I live here” experience without the “I have to go to the cabin and cut the lawn this weekend” drag…this is your place! Susan and Greg will take great care of you!

Egg Cottage is delightful and absolutely charming! The cottage is remarkably clean, warm and cozy, and the views are absolutely breathtaking! The owners have put a great deal of thought and effort into making the cottage so perfect, and it certainly shows! My husband and I visited Door County for the first time and our stay at Egg Cottage was perfect! It is centrally located to the surrounding towns, and within waking distance to the shops and restaurants in the town of Egg Harbor. A great place for relaxation and to enjoy the beautiful scenery and coziness of the property.

We had a glorious 3-night stay at Egg Cottage in late July. Egg Cottage is a beautifully renovated cottage on a bluff overlooking Egg Harbor, with vistas all the way to mainland Wisconsin.  The sunsets were spectacular.  The cottage has 2 bedrooms each with a very comfortable queen bed.  The bedroom on the upper floor has an ensuite bathroom.  The lower bedroom shares the large bathroom on the lower floor. The lawn has Adirondack chairs, hammocks, benches and other seating areas to enjoy the view.  Although the house is adjacent to the main north/south thoroughfare of Door County, we rarely noticed road noise, even in the first floor bedroom that is oriented toward the road. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Planned a lovely getaway to Door County with my husband and my in-laws for last week and we were so thrilled with our decision to stay at Egg Cottage! The booking process was very smooth and in the month leading up to our stay, we received some super helpful emails from the owner Susan with recommendations for all sorts of activities in Door County. When we arrived last week to check in, we requested Susan and her husband Greg to be there and show us around the house. The cottage was beautifully decorated, extremely cozy and comfortable and Susan and Greg had absolutely everything needed to make the stay feel even more like home! The location of the cottage was fantastic and walkable to lots of cute restaurants and shops. The sunsets from the backyard were breathtaking (we got very luck with excellent weather during our entire stay) and we even had a chance to stargaze one night. We will definitely be staying at Egg Cottage again the next time we are in Door County!

The cottage was perfect for my husband and I while in Door County for a long weekend! It is extremely clean and the hosts have thought of everything - bathroom amenities, pots and pans, several basic cooking spices, WIFI and a fire pit in the back. The view is probably the most impressive part of the whole cottage as well! Gorgeous sunsets on the lake with plenty of seating and a gazebo to enjoy it from. The hosts are incredibly professional and responsive as well - we had no issues whatsoever. We highly recommend Egg Cottage for couples or a pair of friends that want a peaceful weekend up in Door County!

We just spent a beautiful 4 day weekend at Egg Cottage in Door County. The Cottage was absolutely beautiful with the owners thinking of every possible detail and making us feel at home. It is ideally located just a few minutes walk from downtown Egg Harbor, with beautiful lake views and sunsets. The decor is beautiful and the cottage is romantic and has true character and soul. The outside gazebo is ideal for breakfast and firepit for late evenings. The booking process was very simple and the hosts were very responsive, and have fantastic ideas and plans ready for cottage guests to explore Door County. We will definitely return this summer!

My husband and I loved our stay at Egg Cottage. The cottage is immaculate and well furnished with everything you need for a relaxing and enjoyable time overlooking the lake and within minutes of walking to great shops and restaurants. The screened gazebo is awesome for enjoying wine or coffee. The kitchen has wonderful furnishings with everything you need if you choose to cook and eat in. The yard is beautiful and private. We will be back!
