The room was clean and comfortable. Could see the planes but could not hear them. Good soundproofing. The heating was noisy but not too bad. The breakfast was abundant but bland, disappointing especially for the price. Very good front desk and room services. The shuttle service to/from the airport was excellent. Location very close to the airport but otherwise not much to speak of.

I am a Hilton Honors Diamond member, and as such I enjoy staying at the different properties across the portfolio. A weekend trip to Windsor Locks via train and Uber brought me to this property. It had also been a while since I had stayed at a Doubletree.||As I always do, I checked in and chose my room digitally the day before arrival. When I got there, while I could have gone directly to my room with the digital key, I decided to stop by the desk first to obtain my spring water and obligatory cookie. I found the desk personnel to be friendly and welcoming. I was also given a plastic key just in case the digital key might let me down (it didn't). ||Throughout my stay I only saw one of the two elevators working -- this was a minus for the stay as it elongated the wait. Being on the top (5th) floor meant often making stops at other floors on the way up or down.||I had received an "upgrade" for my Diamond status, but it was simply a room with a sofabed. I fail to see how a person travelling alone would benefit from a pull-out bed in the room when they already have a real king-size bed there.||The room was ample sized, and enough space for my belongings. TV & WiFi worked well. Climate control was a little tricky on a fall evening where the temperature outside was supposed to plummet after a warm day. It was hard to find a happy medium to the temperature within the room.||Bathroom had plenty counter space, and no issues with hot water in the shower.||Breakfast was skipped since I did not opt to use my $15 credit and was short on time to get my Uber and return to the Old Saybrook train station and eventually home.||Many places to eat in the area, walkable by continuous sidewalks. There is a large parking lot (airport park & ride) next to the hotel, but I was not bothered by any car noise thru the night.

From my welcome to the hotel by the front desk staff, to their quick recognition of my physical limitations, assistance and a room change with easier shower access, was spot on! The room is lovely. Comfortable bed, all necessary fixtures and a ginormous tv! I have joined Hilton Honors and I believe I have found my new hoteliers. Also, at the Beverly Hills Hotel, on the way to the pool bar I encountered Paris Hilton walking towards me. I bid her a good afternoon to which she responded with a smile. I'll remember this as long as I'm with recall!

From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive.

The room was immaculate,
spacious,
and well-appointed with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay.

The hotel’s location was perfect,
with easy access to the airport.

The on-site restaurant served delicious food.

I especially appreciated the attention to detail and the exceptional customer service provided throughout my stay.

I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch hotel experience.

The only problem they have is that in room 318 the shower head has a leak making the roof and paint wet when you take a shower.

Happy to say I'm checking out in 36 hours. The rooms are nice and clean (if you get a remodeled one). The rest of the facility really shows the dirt. The entry ways and elevator floors are gross. The most disappointing part of this hotel is the staff. Everyone that works the front desk acts like they hate there jobs. Every time I ask for something they act like it's an inconvenience. To top this experience no cookies...... What's up with that. That's the best part. Last time I will stay here

My flight was cancelled so I had to rebook my reservation and Nate was incredibly helpful with this. I used a third party to book my reservation and he reached out to them for me and really went above and beyond to make my experience stress less. I will only stay at this hotel from now on! Highly impressed and am going to share this will my colleagues.

The first 3 days was fine. Hotel is not clean. Neither the common areas nor the rooms. Not horrible, but come on for almost $200/night, can someone run a vacuum and use a grout brush in the shower. I can even overlook these things but the biggest annoyance was housekeeping didn’t come at all the last 3 days of our stay. Granted we didn’t leave the room until around 10-11 and had the Do Not Disturb on door until then, but I’ve always had housekeeping come after that- all three days housekeeping was on the same floor and watched us leave and we removed the do not disturb placard. Sorry, but when I’m on vacation I don’t leave the room at 7-8, I sleep in a little. It’s ridiculous that unless you leave the room by 9 it’s not getting cleaned. I’ve had to get my own towels, toilet paper & tissues for the last 3 days. The trash is overflowing and it’s just unacceptable for the price I pay. As a Hilton honors member I’ve noticed the quality really going downhill. Perhaps it’s time to find another hotel chain

The refrigerator was making an unusual sound after we checked in I was in and out the rest of the afternoon. Before I went to bed and all the next morning I heard the unusual sound, I notified the representative at the front desk she was gracious and when I returned there was another refrigerator in addition to the one making noice. The replacement worked great however the noisy refrigerator remained in the room until the next morning. There are two elevators in the hotel one worked the two nights we were there. I was in the elevator with another person he told me he was at the hotel about two weeks ago and the elevator was Not working then. My advice is to find another hotel. It’s a Double Tree Hotel in Name only!
