If you love and care for your loved ones do not bring them to Dolphin Pointe , the staff is lazy and don’t seem to have concern about patients, my mom 94 years ole was heavily drugged with sedatives so they didn’t have to tend to her at night , I’m praying that she come through this , her legs are all bruised and she has a busted lip probably from falling out of the wheel chair. If u care for your love ones please stay far away from this place , beautiful on the outside but it’s a dark spirited place on the inside.

Great place, Excellent, friendly, knowledgeable staff, Appears to be very safe & secure. Staff open the entrance when you arrive, you sign in & receive a visitor ID card to wear & you return card upon sign out when you exit. The desk person also appears to do some video monitoring as well. The Physical Therapy dept. is Excellent the Staff are very friendly & welcoming to new patients and the regular patients seam to like them very much & work well with them. The staff work very well together as needed also. There's a feel of family present. The therapist work hard at rehabilitating each patient for their individual needs as well as interacting with them as people, not just patients. I Highly recommend Dolphin Point.

Excellent place for my grandma. She was transferred here from another retirement home near here. The setting is beautiful and she gets fresh air snd exercise. Since she got here her memory improved and is more responsive to communication. Quality of life improved.

I’m giving 2 stars but this is JUST for the therapy. They fought me all the way on how much time my husband was given on therapy. I was promised 2.75 mins a day! Promised!!! On most days it was just the 2hrs. Never more. Bong was wonderful with my husband but towards the last week not really listening to him and saying he was ready. We tried a few transfers but there was no way he was ready. The SNF side was just horrendous!! My husband was due to be d/c on Friday the 31st but was rescued to Mayo on Sunday 1/26/25 for pneumonia, acute heart failure, pulmonary edema, severe HBP and possible aspiration!! I fought for 4 days with a doctor I NEVER saw nor my husband saw to put him back on his BP meds! He refused until his pressure was so high and uncontrolled! They never had any supplies! By the second week there he was popping in a trash bag lined bed pan!! No chucks! No tissues! No fresh linens! No wipes!!! (I brought my own for my husband!) I fought for a week to get him on a strict low sodium renal diet (ESRD pt - dialysis dependent) they ‘said’ by marking the ticket ‘renal’ but continued to serve him probably canned - high sodium vegetables, red sauce pastas, even a sausage one night!! He didn’t eat any of it! Mayo said he was so fluid overloaded he had to have 4 days of dialysis back to back to reduce his fluid buildup!! There were SOOOOO many incidents I could write about! 2 of his nurses were just exceptional!! One was a white lady he had in the evening later in his visit, the other was a Latino maybe nurse. Again in the evening. The one constantly there was just rude, Disinterested, and lazy! After making several complaints and literally watching her she did make one attempt to approach me to sort of without saying, apologize or rather give an explanation as to why she wasn’t going to get what he needed! The last nurse on staff the night he was transported via rescue was heard telling my husband, “well, you loook fine to me!” OMG! He probably would have had a heart attack or worse that night or the next day had he’d not been transported! His BP was 200/98! Incompetent is an understatement to describe MOST of the staff!! The one bright spot was Ricco!! He was absolutely amazing and both my husband and had several conversations with about getting the hell out of that place!! He deserved to be at Mayo Clinic or Brooks Rehab Hospital!! Top notch CNA for a Top notch facility! I wish him ALL the success and hope he heeds our advice!! From a retired nurses observation…NEVER, EVER, take a loved one here!! Ever! Or any SNF for that matter! If they have to go, be there!! Every day! Every moment! I was their worst nightmare and he still ended up at the ER and in worse shape then when he arrived! Thanks for the major setback Dolphin! If you guys wouldn’t spend so much damn money on your floors, you might have money available to wipe your patients butts properly!
