We had a family trip to Eldorado Canyon. Loved it to the moon and back! The guide was professional, on time and very helpful with his recommendations and answers to our questions. Lots of humor, comprehensive narration and the ghost city created long lasting memories.
The stories around the mine are a blast! We definitely recommend Detours American West and Eldorado Canyon Trip.

Our guide Tommy was great! He was very knowledgeable of the Hoover dam and the route along the way. He gave us a lot of information about Las Vegas and the smaller cities along the way to the dam. He was an excellent driver and we thoroughly enjoyed this tour!

We booked through a different company which used Detours for our trip. We saw parts of Zion National Park, Bryce canyon, and checkerboard Mesa. We absolutely LOVED this trip. It was a long day but we had Jimmy Vegas as our guide and he was absolutely AWESOME!! he picked us up on time, made sure to give as much knowledge as he could about vegas, our trip, the places were going, and had an answer for almost all our questions! He was knowledgeable but very funny and made us laugh. It was a group of 5 + Jimmy so it was nice to have more one on one time. He showed us places we would have never seen had we been in a big group of 30-60! Thanks so much Jimmy Vegas for giving us a day to remember and being so awesome at what you do! We'll be looking you up for the next trip for sure!!!

We waited until last minute to commit to a guided tour of hoover dam. When we were too late for the bus tour we thought we wanted, our helpful tour advisor put us on the Detour small group..... best change of plans ever! JIMMY Vegas was our guide. He went out of his way to make sure we got the best of the best.... and so very knowledgable. Having gone on the small group tour, we had 9 passengers on a spacious bus/van with leather captains chairs, and a perfect view from any seat. I just dont believe we would have had the personal touch with a charter bus full of people.
JIMMY kept us entertained and educated from the minute he picked us up to the minute he dropped us off. So thankful we slept in that morning! Worked out beyond our expectations!

Booked the half day Hoover Dam tour with Detours of Nevada through the concierge at the Wynn hotel and had a great experience. Pam our tour guide and driver was great! Pam shared all she knew about the history of Las Vegas and the towns and sites we passed on our way to the dam. Pam was also very knowledgable about the plants and animals that could be found while hiking in the Nevada desert. Will be back the next time I am in Vegas for a nature tour!

My father and I used Detours to go to theHoover Damn. Our guide Jim was amazing he was extremely knowledgeable about the history of both the Hoover Damn as well as Las Vegas. We were picked up right on time in the parking garage of our hotel and felt very welcomed by Jim. We then traveled to another resort to pick up two other people who also were going on the tour at that time we were two hours early to the opening of the Hoover Damn so our driver took us on a except tour of Bolder City and showed us all of the original steam engine trains that traveled to the Hoover Damn, the first legal casino in Las Vegas, the entire historic town of Bolder City as well as took us to all pull offs along the Damn before we entered to allow us the best opportunities to take pictures of the Damn and landscape. I would recommend Detours of Las Vegas to anyone who is interested in taking a tour they we're very reasonably priced and like I mentioned we're very professional as well as very knowledgeable of the history of the city. Both me and my father had a great time.

Pam was a great tour guide, friendly and extremely knowledgable of the history of Nevada, Vegas and Hoover Dam. We had a comfy ride to and from the Dam right to our hotel. I would definitely take a future tour again.
