Michelle is less than helpful. Don’t bother speaking to her, if she claims she will call you back, she will not. Waited several days for a “diagnostic” that was supposed to take an hour. Company did an oil change on the car, that we stated to be done ONLY AFTER we discussed the “diagnostic” & pricing. Michelle was rude when we tried calling for the information. She expected us to ok work on the truck, before anything was even explained. No Diagnostic information was ever provided. Was charged over 300 for an oil change that we did not even want done before replacing anything that needed to be replaced, they made sure to spill oil all over the engine. Left with my truck having black smoke coming from the engine This company is deceiving & Michelle is there just to ignore questions for clarifications. GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!!

My daughter and friend were on their way out to Oregon for jobs when the car overheated. Being a dad halfway across the country, this was a concern. I arranged for a tow truck and they ended up here at Dakota Diesel Repair. They quickly looked everything over and ran tests. Turns out it was low on coolant after 2.5 days of straight driving. They filled it and test drove it to make sure all was good. Daughter said the owner even got involved and gave them a bottle of coolant just in case. How lucky we are they went to such a reputable place who didn't take advantage of a bad situation. I never write reviews, but had to in this case. Thank you Dakota Diesel Repair getting my girl safely to her destination!

We broke down between Sacramento and Salt Lake City. Limped into Dakota Diesel Repair in Battle Mountain and received A1 service. So friendly and kind and they helped us on our way. They even called us 4 hours later to make sure we were doing well. They have my life long business along fwy 80.

About three years ago I had my car repaired here and still haven’t forgotten the kindness of the staff. I was in a particularly hard spot in my life, as I had just been hired for a job in Elko that had entirely misadvertised the duties and schedule of the position. My supervisors even admitted to me they tricked me into taking the job. I decided to quit and go back to Reno, and on the drive there I blew an auxillary belt and had to stay the night in Battle Mountain. In the morning, I took my car here and the staff decided not to charge me for labor as long as I walked down the street and picked up the parts. They even investigated the cause of the blown belt, which turned out to be a loose pulley that they also repaired, again free of labor cost as long as I went to pick up the new pulley. It was an extremely human moment and after how negatively I had been feeling about my job situation, the staff here lifted me back up and gave me back my faith in everyday people. I wish I could give ten stars.

Was headed from Wickenburg AZ back to Washington. About 45 miles south of Battle Mountain, Nevada, a small and the only significant town within a hundred miles, I was driving my 3/4 ton truck hauling an empty utility trailer when my left front tire came off at 65 mph. Was able to get a tow, and they said Dakota was the best in town, but they were usually a couple weeks out. I called them anyway, and they said sure, we can help you. The owner is a class act of a man named Randy, and he surrounds himself with people who know what they are doing and give a you know what. Whether you live in town or are broke down on the road, these people will save your a**. Bless you...

Randy and his team are truly phenomenal people and have created an atmosphere that definitely reflects in there trade and craftsmanship.

I have taken my wife’s vehicle to Dakota Diesel multiple times now with repairs ranging from custom exhaust repairs to new tires and have always had long lasting results.

I trust my wife’s vehicle with Dakota Diesel not only because of the concrete facts listed above but the underline trust that Dakota Diesel has instilled and proved to not only me and my wife but our family because when my wife knows her truck has been repaired at Dakota Diesel she knows she’s in good hands, and I can rest knowing the job was done right ,which presents a massive peace of mind and speaks volumes way larger then I could express.

My husband and I are on a long road trip from Wyoming, we ran into car troubles right outside of Battle Mountain 500 miles from home. They got us in very quickly, the car fixed and back on the road within an hour and at a very decent cost also. We highly recommend and are very thankful for this shop!!
