Terrible communication. Don't fix anything. They come in a steal. Their staff just comes in and takes whatever they want. I called and reported it. Still haven't heard anything back. 10pm and the lights are never on hallway is pitch black. In the video posted you can see him looking around with a flashlight looking at what else to take. Brand new pack of tissue in his hand.

Good Afternoon. Since 2014, Jeffrey Ware and myself have been loyal and paying tenants. We have addressed numerous of complaints regarding the fallacies of the building. Starting with front entry door that teenagers were trespassing and smoking Marijuana in the common areas which jeopardizes the safety and security of every tenant including the US postal workers and other courier services to deliver mail and packages. Massive amounts of dust coming out of the vents (which was called in many times to request work orders) that has never been addressed and never was followed up on which can cause respiratory issues, bugs and dust mites. When the complaint was expressed to CYM maintenance employee to Ernesto Jr. regarding the bug issue on October 21st prior to CHA inspection on October 27th, he stated that will it be documented. On October 27th, according to the CHA inspector, the apartment unit passed with flying colors. As we keep a very clean apartment. Three days after the unit was inspected by CHA, the apartment manager stated a guy (she said was an exterminator) conducted a pre-inspection for bugs when we were not present the unit without prior notice. We have always requested: Please call before the enter inside the unit so that we may be present and when can witness the work and be furnished written documentation. Unfortunately, that did not happen. This way, so no maintenance nor contract employees enter our unit and steal our possessions which experienced in the past when it was managed by Pangea. Based on that so-called pre-inspection conducted by this so-called exterminator, it was determined that have "bed bugs". As I've stated, we have a very clean unit. On October 31st, the property manager came to our unit with a notice from a pest control company called Rose Pest Solutions indicating we have to clear off our linen on the bed a sofa, pillows and other items of exposure due to their extermination by November 7th (which was very short notice). We have complied except the 2nd bedroom is used storage purposes which CHA (numerous of times when CHA has conducted before) that is highly aware of as we keep that 2nd bedroom neat and very organized This afternoon on November 12th, the property manager knocks on the door very loud. Answered the door, the property manager stated that the 2nd bedroom was ill-prepapred based on what this exterminator from Rose Pest Control told the property manager. We asked for documentation directly from Rose Pest Control stating that they were unable to complete the entire extermination process. In the interim, the property manager was incredibly rude and threatened that if we don't clear out all the items in the 2nd bedroom, that it will jeopardize our lease and be fined $600.00. As I've stated before, CHA has inspected our numerous times and passed. Numerous times, we have submitted numerous of work orders, yet none rendered properly.That being said, the property manager gave us two days (November 14th) to remove items from the 2nd bedroom. Based on the history with Pangea/CYM Living, their maintenance and the customer service along with property management has been terrible. Their credibility is very bad. If these issues are not resolved with corporate, then I will pursue these issues on a legal matter. Myself and Jeffrey Ware are veterans and seniors. We will not tolerate that level of disrespect nor sub-standard service. Especially paying ten years of consecutive timely payments payments for rent.

Please try to be home for your delivery package. They say it's the white man I should fear, but it's my own kind deceiving me. The few packages that have been left in the lobby usually hadn't been a problem for me and other tenants but with tenants moving in and out, just beware.
I also don't appreciate the double fee for being a couple days late on rent, which seldomly happens, one fee is enough! Some new property manager calls me two consecutive days, harassing me if I don't pay my late fees within forty eight hours, I will have to come downstairs to receive a thirty day notice. I, too, am a senior citizen, currently on fixed income. I actually paid the rent on time, it just happened to be a mishap with the bank.
The tenant next door whose dog has continuously messed in the back yard for years, practically making it impossible to take your garbage out through the back door, they don't fine her, tenants that have had physical fights in the building, esclating into the hallway, they don't fine them, tenants who have violated Ilinois quiet hours with all night music and traffic, they don't fine them, tenant who leaves gargage on their back porch for days, instead of taking it down to the 🗑 bin, they don't fine them, I just witnessed that last weekend, tenants that have thrown their garbage onto the homeowners flat roof next door, no one gets fined, of course

This place doesn’t deserve any stars, my experience has horrible. There has been a homeless man smoking weed in my building outside of my door, nothing has been done. This man has left trash all throughout the building, it has not been cleaned in over two weeks. Due to the storm that just passed I could not access my back stairs for four days as there was ice and snow. I informed my property manager Hector and was told the back is not the priority. I did remind him that is a fire hazard and moreover I am 6 months pregnant. There is parking in the back of the building which i no longer pay for because the driveway is never shoveled and the car would get stuck. My husband and I are looking to move as soon as possible.

These ppl aren’t who they say they are me and my family have been living here since march and have had nothing but issue after issue! They claim they are coming to fix things in your unit but it takes them months to do so our supposed property manger has yet to reach out to us since moving in back in march and now it’s September almost October still not a single call or text message from the property manger this building is roach infested especially inside our unit, not to mention we had to wait almost 2 months for holes to be patched in our walls which was an 30 min job! we reach out to let them know and like every either time the lolly gag to come fix the issue. I do not recommend getting a unit through this company save yourself the headache and just go elsewhere!

The area isn’t bad, nice neighbors and the apartment its self is great but the company has failed us. This will make 7 months of us living here and they just fixed an electrical problem on July 31st and we’ve been having that problem since we moved in. To fix the problem they had to make holes in the wall, it’s now been a month since then and it’s still holes in the wall. I don’t know what to do we’ve left several requests and calls to fix the holes all month but no one will come out to fix the problem. Now we’re starting to see spiders and other bugs because they won’t come patch these holes up. Broken bathroom window still hasn’t been fixed since we moved in either. We aren’t trying to come across difficult, but I’d like to feel safe where i’m laying my head and also not have to look at holes in the wall like I’m living in a trap house or something and I’m paying rent. We are great tenants, we pay our rent on time every month, we keep the apartment clean, and we are respectful towards our neighbors. This is just Unacceptable.

I don’t advise no one I mean no one rent from CYM Living it’s terrible the refrigerator went out in my boyfriends apartment on the 16 spoiled all the food it’s been a week of buying fast food that’s expensive buying food everyday he gets a call from the office today they he won’t get another refrigerator until the 19th of December that’s a whole month very unprofessional they give you a late fee if you don’t pay your rent on time but they won’t do they’re job and he asked them what am I supposed to do about food she didn’t respond about that or about compensation of the food he lost been here 3 months and already want to move at this point I’m calling 311 because this is ridiculous haven’t had heat in a week the gas man came to turn the gas on because the basement is locked told them yesterday to unlock the gate so now we’re without heat for another week I need to contact the news people or something because this is very unacceptable CYM yall need to do better!!!!!!!!

Definitely a scam don’t waste your money! How are you charging ppl for an application fee and don’t run their background With 2-3years of on time payment history no damages in my unit with PANGEA, no public record( eviction, bankruptcy etc) and I’m denied, based on what? Especially if you didn’t run my background because you never even requested a ss#. I asked a rep if I just paid for the luxury of being able to access their application she responded yes on their recorded line. This is why they changed their corporation name and is being sued under Pangea.
