Overall rating is 3/5. In case you book this tour service. Please:
1. No Ford Mid-size old and dirty mid-size bus. If the tour is not a 50 -people full size bus, make sure the mid-size bus is a newer model, such as no less than couple years old and not a cargo conversion to tour bus.
2. Make sure ask for clean bus, with driver not eating during driving.
3. Any questions coordinate with Mr. Pen Ko, the manager and tour guide or the owner.

Just finished my two-day tour on 9/28-9/29/2019 starting South El Monte, CTS office, visiting key places including: Nethercutt Museum (antique car collection) in Sylmar, Forestiere Underground Gardens in Fresno for the first day. Then we stayed at the Fresno Quality Inn for the night with the continental breakfast (self service). Next day, visited the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias, and the Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Steam Train before returned home.

Overall, our tourist guide Mr. Pen Ko is a really nice service guide and provided his best to accommodate with most of our needs, and provided explanation before the tour site and gave us clear time line before we departed the bus for tour site, dining area, shopping area, rest area etc. and make sure all head count is complete before the but take off to the next destination. My rating for him is 5/5, the best.

Hotel rating; Quality Inn in Fresno, provide a pretty nice rest area, the breakfast is good and adequate, rating is 4/5 (good)

Mid-Size Ford tour bus and the drive is 1/5 (I will give a zero if I could). This seems a modified mid-size bus with the Ford engine and drive section at the front, the rest just installing of the bus body (for mid-size, up to approximate 30 people max). It appears, it was a conversion from a non-tour truck bed frame. Long over hang from the rear axis to the bus end. The bus was very rough and bumpy, felt very bum on the road. (definitely, it was designed to carry tourists)

The interior of the bus is very dirty on the floor. Trash can at the front was not cleaned at end of first day. Accumulated trashes until end of second day.

The driver ate snacks (dry fruit seeds), by using his right hand, only left hand on the wheel. Use his mouth to crack the seed, then the right hand to split both half shells, shook shells off, before put the seed into his mouth. I mentioned to the Mr. Ko this is very dangerous, with his explanation is to keep his awake. I told Mr. Ko, the driver should drink the coffee to keep him awake rather than eating the snack.

DON'T RECOMMEND THIS ASIAN TOUR!

We joined 2-day Fresno trip in Feb.
1. cheap hotel and worse guide
2. This tour took us to visit blossom roads, but those peach blossom land aren't public, it's
private fruit and peach blossom lands, and guide said we could take picture in private fruit farms.
Local people saw it and felt angry. That was embarrassed!
3. We didn't entry forest park, because bus driver didn't bring snow chair.
4. When we went to Solvang, those stories were closed.

The trip we took was the three days tour to Sedona, AZ.
the main complaint we are to make:
-poor facilities offered, bus and hotel
-courtesy of the company, price scam on lunch and boat trip
-internal error of the travel agency
-professionalism of the tour guide

day 1:
-price diff in buffet
-slow bus
-hotel not same as advertised
-that palm resort hotel for sure is not is the same level as harrahs. staffs were rude, rooms are dirty, place looks old, our room has 2 lights off, and another people's room had 3 lights off, one person even found blood on towel, the restroom is so unclean, the sink has disgusting stain, the ice bucket is broken, carpet looked like never been vacuumed
-hotel check in mess for an hour
-price diff in boat trip. trip official price is $10 but the tour guide charged us for $13. tour guide tried to make up some stupid excuse for why they collected more money after we found out
-rush lunch and dinner

day 2:
-dead bus
-during the bell rock tour, the tour guide went too fast and lost a couple people, and result in those people could not find their way back and came back late.
-in sedona uptown, tour guide just ran off bus and did not specify where to meet for van tour, although she figured half of the tour people were missing and went back to pick up those people
-another check in mess
-free gamble credit not offered. and again, the tour guide made up some other stupid excuses to claim they offered breakfast vouchers instead of free gamble credit, while breakfast was advertised as included anyways.

day 3:
-price scam again at buffet place. tour guide collected 12 while the price on the buffet's place door is only 8.99
-rush lunch. the tour guide let people to go lunch at around 11:40 - 11:50 and tell the people to come back at 12:30. since after the first scam and the time was rush, half or more people went lunch on their own. but while half of the people came back at 12:25 and were waiting in front of the buffet place, the tour guide was still eating! then some people "reminded" her we were to leave at 12:30 and then she said we were plan to leave on 12:45 not 12:30. but everyone heard 12:30 and came back before that.
-and the tour guide was just eating and did not do anything for the people waiting for her under the arizona hot weather outside of the buffet place while she had a clear view since she sat facing the door of the restaurant and saw all people through the glass. luckily, the staff in the restaurant was kind and offered to us to come in to the restaurant so we wont be cooked by the weather.

Don't waste your money!

I did a weekend Sequoia National Park tour on March 15, 2015 with family, family friends, and other CTS guests. I give full marks to CTS for our tour guide Mr. Simon Cheung, the clean bus, and our skilled and punctual driver. The logistics were well planned and executed. Simon told us in Mandarin the history of cities and sights as we traveled through. Lunch Buffets, recommended dinner spot, Ramada Inn lodging and breakfast were reasonable. I had a relaxing time chatting up tour mates during the bus and train rides. CTS gets the job done and at a price lower than what I can get on my own. Leaving the driving and thinking to someone else was nice.

My parents signed up for a tour to Lake Arrowhead and the bus never showed up. They were not given any notice or the courtesy of a phone call!! What kind of customer service or courtesy is that?

They probably didn’t have enough customers so they just decided to cancel. Don’t book this tour!!
