It's a small family run cafe with a small dining room. My advice is if you go in and there's a big table or most of the tables are full go somewhere else. They had a 12 top table that seemed to take all of their attention and service. They don't seem to do well with big parties or a full dining room. My waiter seemed distracted when taking my order, even repeating it back wrongly. I told him three times what I wanted and still brought the wrong food. My order was chopped steak. This was my first and last time eating here. I never got my food even after telling the waiter and what appeared to be the owner what I had ordered. This is the worst service in any restaurant I have had in years.

First of all this is the cutest little place! So nice, clean and the BEST service! All of the food is phenomenal but if you want the absolute best chicken and waffles you have to eat here!! Never had waffles so good!! 😋😋

Been in Alexandria all my life and let me just say I’ve never had food this good. I got the catfish plate with fried green tomatoes, okra, deviled eggs, and extra hushpuppies. Everything was fried to perfection and so fresh! The atmosphere is so welcoming & we will definitely be back again since it’s right down the street from our house lol!! 1000/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

The food was good, I wouldn't say it is one of those places that I would be going back to weekly to eat. The prices are reasonable for lunch. 2 of us ate for less than $25. We will be going back to try it again.

Wonderful local diner full of potential. I gave the lunch special a shot with the Country Fried Steak, Mac n Cheese, Deviled Eggs and Fried Green Tomatoes. They give generous portions for $8.99. Additional sides are only $2.50 and they have slices of pie for $5.

The steak was a good size and well breaded, mac n cheese was thick and creamy, and the tomatoes were perfectly fried. The deviled eggs contained relish and possibly celery, which provided a nice crunch that paired well with the firmness of the egg white. All the items I tried were well seasoned but they were just a tad too heavy with the salt. The staff is super friendly and the back of house cranks the food out quickly.

All in all, this is a great spot for a quick bite. My only suggestion would be for them to update this Google listing with a current menu and maybe work on developing a larger online presence. People want to SEE all of the food you offer, so an old menu with the wrong prices listed, leaves a little to be desired

First time eating here, friendly staff and good home cooked food feeling. Got the Country fried stake with mashed potatoes and Cole slaw. It was as if Grandma made it at home. It's a nice little hidden gem. And the price wasn't bad at all for what you got.

First time eating there and I thoroughly enjoyed it. My dad and I ordered our food to-go and waited there. The staff was incredibly polite and friendly, chit chatting with us when they could. They were very accommodating if you wanted to change something in your order that wasn't expressly on the menu and even offered us a taste of a sauce/gravy from a dish we expressed interest in trying next time. I ordered the shrimp platter grilled with broccoli for the side. I admit I didn't have very high hopes on the broccoli, I was expecting the typical butter and salt on it you find at most restaurants. However the broccoli was very well seasoned with what maybe have been a cajun type season along with the shrimp which was grilled perfectly. It came with a couple hushpuppies that were also larger then normal and tasted delicious with the shrimp. My dad ordered the fried catfish with fries and coleslaw. He enjoyed the breading and seasoning of it as well. For two meals and one coke it was only about $25 so I find it was decently priced for a home cook style meal. I will be visiting in the future and sharing my recommendations for sure! I hope they thrive and stay!
