The biggest negative for me was my experience on the elevator. I thought it was going to stop and not open. It dropped a couple times. I used the stairs except with my bags. The staff was helpful. The room was odd...the floor was slanted, and I felt like I was walking up and downhill across the room. I slept fine and felt safe, but I the elevator and slanted floors concerned me.

Positive: "" Negative: There was no free breakfast buffet. They had a mini bar area that you could order food from and pay extra for. I wasn't expecting that at all. I guess I'll have to read more carefully online before purchasing a room.

I was abut Leary or staying here. I booked and could not get out of the reservation They had a big sign posted that they did not accept cash and had none on site. This made me think the area must be high crime area. Fortunately I was able to stay without incident. I had to walk to the Target to break a $20 to tip the maid.

Yikes. Marketing photos need to be updated. See the hot tub from marketing photos. Room is fine, can hear the highway and commotion in the hotel. I don’t expect it will be a good night’s sleep.

No complimentary breakfast… Not even complimentary hot coffee or water in the lounge area in the morning. For the prices this place charges for a weekday stay, not to mention the absurd “tax” rate of 14%, you’d think someone would be fluffing your pillows daily. This is a courtyard Marriott…in Springfield, IL. Give me a break. Never again

We stayed here for 5 nights. For the most part the stay was good. The room was of good size, the staff was nice, and the hotel was quiet. There was one incident in the parking lot where seemingly a person was being warned by police about being arrested. Not sure what happened. We had another incident where a member of the cleaning staff tried to enter our room when we had requested no cleaning and had a sign on the door. We happened to be in the room and caught him before he entered. That was worrisome and we reported it to the front desk. The hot tub has been under construction for at least a year - maybe it will never be constructed.

At the unreasonably high price for the location and accommodations offered, the room air conditioners sound like prop planes making it hard to stay asleep, and the TVs, while large, literally are feet from your head mounted on the wrong side of the dresser. The rooms also only have one vanity between the room and the bathroom creating a traffic jam and congestion getting ready in the morning. The in-house food prices are also not competitive with the other venues all around the hotel. Fortunately, the staff is friendly.

This hotel is terrible. The only good thing about it is the location. Here are the things I experienced: toilet overflowed, cockroach in room (330am). When moved to new room because of toilet overflowing on floor, the new room smelled like dog (though they don’t allow pets). Worse part of all of this was the callous response of the hotel manager when I told him about it in the morning.
