We are Choice Business Diamond members and this is the worse comfort inn my company ever frequent. There were no towels in the bedroom upon check-in, the laundry room did not work, phone in room did not work, and the breakfast did not offer any bread for toast. Customer service turned around towards check out as breakfast was served late, but I was able to correspond nicely with the morning staff. That was appreciated. My company will not be lodging there again as this hotel does not offer what our needs are.

Terrible experience here. When we first arrived, we were in a rush and could not see all the issues but witness some of the beds sheets were stained. We requested the sheets to be changed and initially the staff has said that they would do it. After returning late, we noticed that one of the rooms Sheets was still not changed. We requested to be moved to a room that was cleaner. To our misfortune, we were put in a room that was much worse. The room smelled like cigarettes and weed. It was stained pretty much everywhere you could look. There was mold in the bathroom. The faucet was missing one of the handles. The phone did not work. It was absolutely disgusting. We slept because we were exhausted and left first thing in the morning. Mark and avoid this hotel at all costs. We did not even partake in their breakfast because we just simply did not trust it.

Hotel in great location.
Management not courteous or respectful.
Management talks harshly to guests and they don’t care. I watched numerous guests being treated harshly.
Employees look petrified working for this hotel you cannot ask housekeeping for fresh towels they tell you to go to the front desk.
Rooms do not smell fresh and clean.
Constant issues with room key card. Everyday I had to get my room key card reset.
Management likes to blame guests for room doors not operating correctly getting stuck or not opening.
Hotel needs renovation it’s being run down with no repairs in sight.
Two elevators only one operating elevator available.
Breakfast sealed muffins had mold when informing the owner he said I purchased the muffin elsewhere.
They are dishonest in booking and make bogus outrageous extra fees. Even when given a deposit.
Management sleeps in the area of incoming guests watching and staring.
It’s unsettling behavior for guests to witness.
They also lied and said my pet popped in my room when my pet did not.

Please do not get a room at this location. They should be condemned. I have never seen a facilities so dirty they stated the room were cleaned. There was hair. There was a used bar soap in the shower wrappers on the floor toilet it was black mold, and ceiling water damage on the roof in the room Carpets were filthy. They stated they had no more bars of soap so that I can wash my hands left and no utensils at breakfast and they stated you’re lucky. It’s a free breakfast so we don’t have to provide that was their answer. The general manager is very disrespectful. He is sexist talk to me so disrespectful soon as my partner came down the story changed, so that was something that was not necessary and not professional whatsoever. He stated to the third-party that he was willing to work with me, went down there and he was just looking for a fight Had an answer for everything you said usually customers are supposed to speak. He didn’t even allow you to get your point . Please for your own safety and health do not get a room at this location. Come to find out under new ownership only three months wish the old owners were still there we used to come annually never again. In addition, Poole was not working. There was shut down by the HEALTH board sticker was on the door. In addition, they have the nerve to still charge me and charge me a fee for canceling my reservation because I could not stay there another night!

Wow. Where to start. Historical Wethersfield. Our stay will be one to remember. One that I would really care to forget. I very rarely write a review yet I don’t want anyone else to experience the nightmare this place has to offer. I e we I’ll be contacting corporate to let them know what this location advertised is far from what they deliver. The pictures speak for themselves. Stay far away.

STAY CLEAR FROM THIS LOCATION… This was the worst place we have ever stayed at. Checking in the girl tried to charge me again after I paid through the choice hotel app, then charged me $25 for a pet fee, online in the description it said pet fee was $20, then another charge for $28,75 and was told that was an occupancy fee, so 3 separate charges on my card was placed. Next day tried to clear it up with the manager, he was very rude unprofessional about it, and kept telling me that there is an occupancy fee of $28.75, on top of already paying $3.75 occupancy fee through the app. Leaving I over heard him yelling at another guest about towels.
The room smelled horrible, stains in the carpet, something on the wall. The toilet paper holder was broke, no toilet paper, hair in the bathroom, there was an empty box of tissues in the tissue holder. It was so disgusting that if I could give zero stars I would. Stains on the hallway carpet. If I didn’t have two little ones and checking in so late we would have 100% left that night. STAY CLEAR AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION.

this has got to be second worst I have been in my whole life. it was unclean, and management was terrible. The room was very dirty, had bed bugs, management were very nasty and the owner was a liar. He claimed that you cannot take food from breakfast to your room was a federal law. I could not eat before a certain time due to medical issues. And he said he will make an exception with milk but I cannot drink milk due to being lactose intolerant. The breakfast there was subpar. The have the elevators call button broken and when I told them they are aware and they are NOT fixing it. Bottom line avoid this hotel at all costs.

I have never left a bad review for a hotel. If I could leave a zero, I would.

First impression, this was an extremely rundown hotel. Upon entry, I was overwhelmed with the odor of cigarettes and drugs. It was all over the lobby, the elevator, the floors and most horrible in the room. Before I even crossed the room threshold, it took every ounce of self-control, not to turn around and go look for another room. If it weren’t 2 o’clock in the morning, it was cold and I didn’t have a rental car, I would’ve turned around and gone somewhere else. It was that bad.
.
The room itself looked straight out of the 70s with wear and tear evident on every surface you looked at. It clearly had not been updated in a very long time. It was dirty, stained and smelled. The bedding was sparse at best. No extra pillows. No extra blankets. I’m certain this room is the poster child for why the bedbug detection strips were developed. No dresser and very few drawers for your clothes. None of the normal items like menus or area attractions. Of course the room key didn’t work midway through the stay. No surprise there. Buttons on the elevator were missing, garbage in the elevator. The Wi-Fi was spotty at best. The light next to the bed incessantly turned off. There was no alarm clock. The vending machines did not work. There was no ice on the floor, you had to go to the first floor. There was no cleaning of the room during the six days I was here. No fresh towels, no garbage taken out, nothing. Nothing like you would normally see at any hotel. Not what I have been accustomed to in other comfort hotels. The entire place just reeked of poor upkeep and lack of attention to detail

The hotel is apparently run by a family of many ages. An elderly couple, a middle aged man and a teen. During one elevator ride, two of the family members were in the elevator on either side of me. I was in the middle, slightly ahead of them facing the door. Consistent with their culture, both the gentleman stepped around, in front of me and exited the elevator first, even though I was the at the door in front of them. To me it just demonstrated another example of lack of attention to detail and little regard for others.

There was many riffraff across the property and loitering. I would never wander around this hotel at night.

Ultimately the second hand smoke was so bad it made me sick. I developed bronchitis and had asthma attacks (I haven’t had asthma attacks in many years) so bad I had to go to urgent care at the end of the 6 day stay.

All of that is bad enough…. However, the icing on the cake was I slipped going up their front steps. Their lobby steps are covered by the roof. However, the paint they used on the very narrow steps does not have any grit to it to makes the surface unsafe. It’s VERY slippery. Despite the fact we were in the middle of winter, and the temperature was varying, I saw no evidence of any salt or sand to make the steps safe. An elderly Indian man as well as a young girl were in the lobby and watched the entire thing (it’s all glass with a very clear view). Yes, I did get hurt. I was bleeding and have had an egg on my knee for days now. I’m not a complainer, I’m a nurse, but this was shocking to me. Not one of them asked me if I was OK or examined the stairs, nothing…

Suffice to say I will never come back to this hotel again. I will happily stay at any competitor, and they have many on that strip, instead of coming here. I regret not looking at previous complaints before committing to stay here.

Go up
