We were given room 120, located right across from the pool entrance door, which constantly banged every time someone came in or out. All the doors on the floor rattled incessantly—how hard is it to make them close softly? The room itself was nothing like the photo: gloomy, with smoke-stained carpets, shabby walls, and a bathroom with cracked paint. Everything felt old and depressing. The curtains reeked of cigarettes, and while the bed linen was clean, the bed still smelled stale. Sockets only on one side of the bed. The handle on the bathroom door is broken.
We didn’t even bother with breakfast (served from 6 to 9) and decided to look for something decent in the city instead. The final straw? Checkout is at 11, yet at 9, a staff member came knocking to wake us up, insisting we get ready and vacate the room.

Basic motel with nice clean spacious room. The breakfast was only adequate. I took the last of the bacon and sausage and they were slow to refill them,The reviews are probably correct in that it is the best place to stay in Susanville, which says a lot about Susanville.

Overall a nice stay. The rooms are standard, but I enjoyed the tub as many hotels nowadays are switching to showers only. So a tub is bonus in my book (:

It was clean, check-in and check-out went smoothly. The guy at the desk was friendly and helpful. I was also able to checkout on my phone, so super convenient. I know they have breakfast but I didnt eat so I can't comment on it.

The only complaint I have is the noise level from other guests. Whoever was staying right next to me left at least a dozen times in the early morning hours and every time, the door slammed shut. Maybe make it so they close slowly? It was frustrating. They had the nerve to get mad at me for being frustrated- i asked her what happened to courtesy? I mean being mindful in a shared sleeping space doesn't hurt anyone. She apparently didn't agree and was very rude. She told me to step outside room if I had something to say. Nothing like vail threats at 8am on a Sunday morning.

Terrible experience. We booked a room for 11/1/24-11/2/24 for three people in a two bed room. They gave us a one bed room. We went to the front desk to fix it and they had no available rooms. We asked for a roll away bed, and they were out. We asked for extra blankets and pillows to make a bed on the floor for our 12 year old, the staff person spent 15 mins on the phone with a manager. After the phone call he did bring us one comfortable and one small through blanket. We asked for pillows and he said the hotel had not one extra pillow. Not believable. The room had a broken light and it was dark in the bathroom. There was ZERO hot water and NO water pressure. Again went to the front desk and they said they had no maintenance on site.

Breakfast was also poor. Breakfast is served until 10AM but when we went down at 9:20AM they were out of eggs and protein. We asked the staff person and they said they didn’t want to make more eggs since breakfast was almost over… there was 40 minutes left.

Our friend stayed at the Best Western one block away and got complimentary breakfast at lumberjack’s and had plenty of hot water and water pressure.

I would 100% recommend staying a block away at the Best Western.

Staff was friendly. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Supplies were nicely stocked.

Note: Breakfast was thoughtfully prepared and served. In my opinion, forr the caliber of this hotel chain, hot oatmeal, bagels and cream cheese should be part of the breakfast options. Alternative milk options should be provided for those who Have milk challenges. I.e, almond milk and oat milk.

What a beautiful property. Very clean, organize, great staff also had a great breakfast. We definitely will stay here again every time we visit.

I was surprised to see I haven't written a review on this hotel, despite staying in it 30+ nights a year for the last 6 years. Plus, when I lived in Reno we used to stay here when working in the area. When it wasn't a Comfort Inn & Suites it was an okay hotel, but dated with suspect beds. ||Once the renovations and conversion was complete it is a great place to stay with a fantastic staff. The beds are some of the most comfortable beds I stay on in my travels, the appliances work like you expect them to and you have a place to sit that isn't a bed in most of the rooms. Overall, it is a very quiet place to stay. That's why I keep coming back year after year and will continue to stay here going forward.

Very good place. Rooms were large and comfortable, there was a big TV in our room, we were enjoying our XBOX. A plenty of good cafes and restaurants in 2-5 minutes walking. The gym was very good -a lot of equipment, everything you need for training. Recommend!
