Chutters - Littleton, New Hampshire

A stop into Chutters is a priority when my husband and I are in Littleton before 5pm, and wow! What a selection!

Back in my day, we charged $7 a pound or $1.75 a quarter pound (my first job was at a candy store a long, long time ago). I can appreciate that Chutters does not charge by the quarter pound, and has a scale nearby so you’re not caught off-guard at the register. The quarter pound thing always caught those customers of yore off-guard because they didn’t read the fine print (which was always fun as a shy, introverted teenager!).

I knocked off a star because the employees weren’t very friendly. They weren’t rude or anything, but I’m not sure that I caught any smiles. I usually chalk this up to employee compensation (Chutters must rake it in) But who knows! Everyone can have a bad day, or perhaps it was me lol (I’m not everyone’s cup of tea haha). Since I’m basing this off my last visit alone, I will be sure to update in the future.

I hate to leave a bad review but we were disappointed. Was more of a tourist shop than a candy store. Only about 40% of the merch was candy. The rest was souvenirs. Candy was self-serve out of the jars along the wall. Relying on the honor system of others to wear gloves when picking out candy. Not for me.

Incredibly large candy store that pulls at your nostalgia! So many different types of candies and chocolates, you’re sure to find something you like! You can mix and match all the items in the blue jars to get a personalized assortment of candy. There was also many flavours of fudge and small home decor items.

Don’t miss it! It has the Guinness Book of World Records Longest Candy Counter at 112 feet! It’s a fun stop and they have every type of candy imaginable! Plus lots of chocolate and fudge too!

Nice local crafts; I didn't realize what a beautiful selection they have! This is the perfect place to buy a hostess gift!

Amazing selection of candy both manufactured and homemade fudge, local truffles, local maple syrup, novelty candy like Harry Potter wands in milk chocolate, and Cheese ornaments, stuffed animals. Fun celebratory environment!

My kids loved going and picking out their own candy to try! There were so many choices they wanted ALL of them! They also have quite a few choices of fudge to choose from, also really good!

This candy store is huge. The candy counter is 112 ft long. There's so much great candy it's hard to choose, plus there's loads of other gift stuff, hot sauces, and pickled products. A must stop if you're in the area. They charge by the pound, and blue stickered jars are 17.99 a pound.
