There has been no reason to visit this place during the past few decades. Nothing interesting nor original until the recent grand reopening and rebranding.
The new state-of-the-art interactive display is a plethora of information, maps, and ideas for long-time residents and tourists alike.
The new Southland President is a tour de force, and under her leadership the bad rap our southern suburbs have suffered for several decades is turning around. This exhibit highlights fabulous places to explore right under our noses.
A surprising food choice is a Polish-run restaurant that is a fine alternative to those who can't eat fast food. On the grand opening day I chose hot borscht which after smelling the aroma on the way home, I opened and consumed with glee. That is a major "wow" factor.

My husband is on the Southland Board. He is a pivotal force among a strong group of people who want you to experience their enthusiasm for the area.

A really cool stop, and incredibly convenient! It’s located in a busy area so it’s nice to get off on an easy exit and have everything right there. There’s a gas station, and many fast food options within the building. At the time of this review, there’s a McDonalds (with a drive thru), Dunkin, Subway, Panda Express, and a crepe shop. The McDonald’s was neat since it had some old neon signs. The bathrooms were very clean! It was cool walking across the highway and seeing the traffic from above. It’s kind of sad going through here and seeing all of the empty storefronts though and kind of feels like a dying mall. It’s a shame, because it’s a really cool experience!

Very convenient stop. Was able to escape rush hour traffic for a few minutes. Facility was very clean. Location has numerous food options. Very cool view above the interstate.

Great food options: McDonalds,Sbarro,Crepe ave,Panda express,subway,Dunkin’ donuts. Things have changed a lot since last visiting in 2018 like the McDonalds play place,a lot of vendors/food options removed like:
Starbucks,Auntie Anne’s,Popeyes,Lottery,travel mart, and Best Buy express.up to today there is a decent selection of food options,Restrooms are clean as always and the new welcome center is very nice.Tables do need to be cleaned more often sometimes there are a lot of dirty tables that have crumbs and spilled water. Another thing is lighting inside the building needs to be fixed so it makes the inside more welcoming and less dark in some areas.Overall the Lincoln oasis is good for getting food and using the restroom before heating to Indiana,Chicago,Iowa,or Wisconsin.Its highly recommended to use the restrooms before heading to Wisconsin,or Iowa sense after passing here there are not a lot of restroom options Since the Hinsdale and O Hare oasis pavilions have been demolished. yes there is the 7 Eleven gas station restrooms but they are small and not well maintained.It would be nice if the O hare and Hinsdale oasis’s get something new built and not just left as a parking lot After the widening project Is finished.

If you're traveling in America, it's important to know about places like this. A beautiful place for a short break from driving. Many famous restaurants and good food for everyone's taste. The space is above the highway, so the visual feeling is unrepeatable.

I'm surprised I found this panda express that is not actually overcharging the customers. I got the bigger size portion and taste and quality was very good for the money.

Really neat place to visit for lunch on our roadtrip. We enjoyed actually sitting down to eat and watching the cars drive by. Several food options available: Panda Express, McDonald's, Dunkin Donuts, Sbarro, and a Crepe place. Nice bathrooms and plenty of parking. Great view!
