Update 1 Year later, a car hit me in NYC and I had no damage, but the company blamed me and my rate doubled... That was a year ago. Lesson is that you need to worry about other people driving not always yourself!

Allstate was completely mishandling my claim and not listening to me. I thought a customer of 42 years could call his agent and ask for help. I did on three different occasions and was told that things were straightened out, when the next thing I knew my rental car was out of days because of the mess that was made in the beginning of my claim. I was told I was going to have to start paying out-of-pocket even though Allstates delays cost me 12 days total rental. I was getting nowhere and called my local agent again for help, once first thing in the morning then around noon time, then in the afternoon. I got a call from another agent who told me to stop calling the agency that I was causing all the problems. I was also told that while he was talking to me on the phone, he was losing three potential new clients because he wasn't able to take care of their phone calls. They're more some other things that was said that I'm not going to get into. I will never use the Gomez agency again. The only reason I'm staying with Allstate, is it was one woman that I talked to a couple of times and she was able to straighten out the rental problem. I told her that if she did that I would stay with Allstate.

The Gomez Agency is always available and has the answers I need. And they know I call with questions all the time!
In the era of big companies it is nice to know you can still get personalized service from an agency who understands all the products and with a family feel.
Our family has been with the same office since well before Chelsea's dad ran it and they give me no reason to change

Pretty good service until you leave them. What I noticed with Allstate (Gomez Insurance) is they gave me a good teaser rate for the 1st year. Subsequently every year my policy went up (2nd & 3rd years weren't that bad) so I decided to stay with them. 4th year was a sizable increase (still stayed with them) 5th year escalation was so enormous that I decided to shop around. Within an hour search I found another company that was $330.00 less a year (same coverage) How come is it that my automobile get's older, yet my rate keeps climbing? Here's the kicker. Once I decided to pull the trigger & leave Gomez Insurance, I received a bill for $25.00 in the mail. For what? I already paid my former policy in full. I decided no way I'm I paying this even though it's such a minuscule amount. Before closure of my review, it get's even better! Last night I received a call from a collection agency for (you guessed it) $25.00! I simply said to the gentleman "Good Luck with That" For a man in his early 50's & with a credit score a notch below 900 you'll never, ever see that money or my business again.
