I highly recommend Channel Islands Adventure Company! Five star treatment by the reservation staff. Clear and concise instructions are just the beginning of your adventure. We arrived at Ventura Harbor, and had a fantastic ferry ride to Santa Cruz Island. We were treated to a 'mega-pod' of beautiful dolphin swimming out in front of the ferry, and along side...It was a magical experience.
Once we arrived we were instructed to where to access wetsuits, and other gear to prepare for our Sea Cave Kayak Tour.
We were paired with Chuck Graham as our guide. What an amazing guide! His knowledge of the Island and surrounding waters, his sense of humor, and his style of making our group all feel welcome was memorable. We kayaked in and out of caves, seeing harbor seal, seal lion, and fantastic birds all throughout our day. If we had questions or just wanted to rest and watch the tide against the island shore, we were treated to answers, and helped to see different ocean inhabitants. The huge starfish were amazing clinging to the rock. Once again, I highly recommend this tour company, Chuck, and the adventure of kayaking Santa Cruz Island.

I did the Adventure Guided Sea Cave Kayaking Tour December 1st. It was a perfect 70 degrees, sunny and low wind. Jo was our group guide for 9 people. She was informative and fun and gave us a full 3 hours on the water.
I booked the ferry and tour directly with Island Packers and they were great at sending informative emails with links prior with all the information that we needed.

This company was the absolute best! They made our Kayak Adventure on Santa Cruz easy and exciting. We had two young girls, 7 & 9, who thoroughly enjoyed the day. Our guide, Steve, was exceptional with the girls. He explained everything in detail that we would experience and made sure we were all comfortable with our kayaks. We went in and out of caves with ease and wonder. He told us history of the island and shared knowledge of the kelp forest we were gliding over. I would highly recommend this company to anyone of any age or kayak level.

From the ferry ride to kayak adventure tour, it was a 5-star, unforgettable experience. We were fortunate to see dolphins both ways and the captain slowed down to let us know. The ferry staffs were sweet and make sure we were fine having sea sickness. Water was crystal clear. Lots of kelps. Our kayak tour guide, Katie was wonderful and experienced. She was patient and made sure we were safe with paddling in open ocean across the waves and through the sea caves. Special thanks to her! Wildlife is amazing; we saw island fox, sea lion, harbor seal, and bald eagle. We didn’t have time to hike. Would love to go back for snorkeling and hiking.

Amazing experience with Luke, our guide, exploring the caves, even with big swells and waves. Our family of five adult children had one of the best adventures we’ve ever done. Sea lions, seals, and tons of birds, along with some tight caves made for an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend for those looking for adventure.

This tour was fantastic and worth every penny. We had Connor as our guide. He was very knowledge, patient, and accommodating. We went in multiple sea caves, saw a bald eagle, sun fish, tons of seals. The water was extremely calm and clear. Feel that we were lucky to have such nice conditions on the water, a great guide, and to see so many animals. I am so glad we went on this tour.

What a great experience! Highly recommend working with this tour provider. Booking was efficient and staff was friendly. Island Packers ferry trip was able to be planned with the kayaking trip which made it seamless. My guide, Zack Yates, was truly the hero of the day! I was feeling nauseous and became tired as a novice kayaker battling the wind and waves. Zach let me struggle just enough: I felt empowered that I stepped outside of my comfort zone and persevered in spite of the challenge. But, he knew a girl needed a rest and gave me a tug so I could complete the tour. He was on point with ginger candies to quell my upset stomach too. Not all heros wear capes! I had time after the tour to do a hike on the island as well. A great day overall and I highly recommend visiting the Channel Islands!

The channel Islands were absolutely amazing! Island Packers was so helpful with everything and made it easy to navigate. We kayaked through the caves at Santa Cruz Island. Our guide Paco was so kind and knowledgeable. It was one of the best trips I've had. I recommend it to people who are looking for an adventure and to step out of the box. It's a great trip for families to enjoy together as well. The hikes were beautiful. We were able to spend some time on the island before our boat left at four. We did a one hour hike, it's like you're on top of the world. All you see is ocean and Island around you. On our boat trip ride back we saw blue whales and dolphins. A great end to a wonderful day.!!!
