Yesterday my brokerage (Keller Williams Legacy Partners, CT) had our annual Summer Bash BBQ at Cave Hill Resort and I hope that we have it there again next year!!
CHR is celebrating its 104 years of success and is one of the last remaining resorts of its kind!! (It reminds me of Dirty Dancing, back in an era when families “summered” at resorts. It may actually be the only remaining resort like this in CT!) This resort had all of the amenities necessary to provide for a fun filled day, and certainly for longer as we didn’t have enough time to take advantage of all of the fun activities availability!!
I definitely plan to return with my family and will take advantage of everything! Every person in the family will find something they like to do … you can read a book down by the pond, or hike to the little cave in the hill, or play some table tennis, or go for a swim … there are so many wonderful options and best of all no tv’s and the WiFi is iffy!! Which for me and my family is what we prefer .. to unplug with technology and plug into quality family time!
Did I mention that this is a family owned and operated resort Which is my jam … supporting local M&P businesses! Another bonus to staying at CHR is they provide a yummy home cooked breakfast AND dinner!! Just another reason why this gem is on the top of my list for family weekend getaways and a potential wedding venue!!!!

*Only two drawbacks I noted were; no dogs allowed and not much storage in the cabins very basic think glamping … these are NOT big enough deterrents for keep us from staying there.

Everything and more that we could have wanted for a last-minute in state getaway! The rooms were great and had AC. The resort itself was amazing, so many things to do it was hard to even fit everything in on our short stay! They had a s'mores night and karaoke night and offer hayrides of their grounds. Amazing and could not recommend this place enough we've already booked another stay with them!

Held a family party at the resort for a day. JoAnn was very pleasant to deal with in booking the party and being onsite for assistance. Place is better than the pictures. Enormous pool was a big hit with the kids! Would definitively book again!

Awesome little place! Clean, and the owner was so awesome!!! Pool was cold and sparkling! Bathrooms were cleaner than most homes! And roomy! Had an area to sit, chat, and wait if the 2 rooms were occupied!

Great place to hold a party or gathering. There is a swimming pool that is fenced in and has a deep side and a shallow side for kids. There are gazebos setup up for people to sit under. With a basketball court right in front. There is also a pond with paddle boats. Outside of that is a golf course. There is also a hill that has a little campfire spot set up. Plus a whole playground setup for the kids.
Would recommend using for big gatherings of more than 50+ people and wanting to have activities for the whole family to enjoy all day.

This place is great, you really feel part of the family while there. So much to do, safe for the kids to run off and play. Food was delicious, and hayride was great. Will definitely be visiting again.

Absolutely by far the best place to take your family for a little summer vacation! Whether you live far away or close by you will always feel at home here. With so much to do, from playing every outdoor sport imaginable to climbing the trails to the Beautiful historic caves you will always have an amazing time at Cave Hill. You can relax by the pool all day and bask in the sun, while your family stays busy with so much to do. Did I mention they have karaoke nights too. What a great time we had singing our favorite songs while having some drinks and not having to worry about having to drive anywhere after. You also get to enjoy there Delicious home cooked meals. Definitely the spot to stay in the summer. Especially if your a family on a budget.

Great resort, owners are polite and friendly. Pool area is clean & poolside rooms have AC. Firepit, caves, and pond onsite with short drive to ice cream shop & package stores.
