Very interesting ruin from the Hohokam inhabitants. Nice little history museum showing life at the time. The actual Casa Grande building is surprisingly preserved given its age, materials and harsh desert conditions it has existed in since abandoned. No fee here with plenty of free parking. Easy walking through the ruins and a good walking path to visualize the ball court and platform mounds, but they are only able to be viewed from a distance.

Enjoy going to this place the ruins had a lot of history the short film was informative about the whole background the architect is something that's quite interesting how this happened that many years ago it's all free the 2 lady Rangers there were helpful very informative

National Park, so if you have a passport for national parks, don’t forget it!

Interesting ruin with tons of history. I won’t spoil it too much, but there’s a museum in the gift shop that’s packed with information about the general area and the ruins. I was impressed to know that owls live inside the ruin. It’s a very small area in general, and If you visit between April and October, bring sunscreen. Also, plan ahead, because the park have very specific working hours.

This place gets crowded with school field trips and such, so be mindful of that.

There is such a rich history in this nation that I am constantly amazed when learning more during our travels.
This didn't look like it would be much to see when we stopped but we were impressed with the history, the site, and the enthusiasm and knowledge of the volunteers!

Cool place to visit, wouldn't go out of my way to see it.

It's covered which is awesome. The staff is friendly.

Museum has a great deal of information.

The outside structure itself looks like it could fall at anytime. Lots of rods holding it up.

Bathrooms are pretty clean.

These ruins were pretty cool! Being able to check out one of the oldest ruins- turned into a monument- in the United States was a pretty rad feeling- I’d highly recommend it. There’s pottery and other small items cased in glass inside the visitor center. There are also staff who are very knowledgeable about the ruins and will tell you anything you want to know.

There are a few HUGE owls that currently reside within the walls of the Casa Grande, and if you visit during the day, you’ll see them perched up there.

It’s not a huge thing that takes up a lot of time to see, so definitely something you could do to kill some time, especially if you’re a history lover.

Definitely recommended to check this place out!

This was a fun diversion on our way down from the Phoenix airport to Tucson. The museum, while small, gives good context to the site and the short film was very informative and kept the attention of our family (two adults, 15, 12, 10). The ruins themselves are larger than I had anticipated from seeing photos, thought do not take long to see. We saw a horned owl in the rafters, which was cool and unexpected. I think in all we were at the site for about an hour. Entrance is free so why not stop?
