Had a quite enjoyable and touching visit. One of the, many, small battles that shaped our wonderful country. This one just happened to be led by a namesake

What a strange little corner of our community. Of all the years I have been in the q.c.a. I have never driven on Campbell's Island. There are quite a few houses, some nice some not so much and the circular route gets you to the historic landmark. A large plaque commemorating a battle and u.s. lives lost. I feel that there should also be larger plaque commemorating the natives and their lives and losses, as there is a small plaque that mentions them but not enough, IN MY OWN OPINION. glad I went on the island, but once is prolly enough for a long time.

Love this but felt sorry that the Fox and Sauk Indians were fighting for their country. There is a plaque that talks about life on the island but cant read it all. This should be fixed.
