Restrooms are modern with toilets and showers. Each are kept very clean throughout the weekend. Three new shower houses are unbelievable. Each is wheelchair accessible with showers and toilet areas. The attraction to this park is the river for world class trout fishing. A small boat dock and gift shop offers guide service, boat/kayak rentals, and gifts. The campsites are large and well separated. We stayed in a "buddy" site, which we discovered holds two rv's close together. Each site had water and electricity. The river view sites should be sought out. The gift shop has a back deck overlooking the river that should not be missed. Unfortunately, the deck closes with the gift shop. Access to the river is available by several areas with steps down. If fishing is your thing, you must stay here.

Absolute beautiful state park! We were there Sunday to Friday. Beautiful views, and the white river was just phenomenal. You walk down there on a nice 85° day and you feel the cold breeze off the river hitting you. Will definitely be back. It’s definitely hard to book so don’t wait and book a year in advance. Bathroom are clean and new.

Very nice campground nestled in the wooded hills. Weather turned out great. We went trout fishing and hiked one of the trails.
Staff is very friendly and helpful. It is a popular campground and we make our September reservations early.

We love this place! I have been coming here since I was a child , as did my grandparents with my Mom and her siblings. Now we bring our kids and they love it. The park is so clean. We like the quietness. The river is beautiful. Pretty hard to get a spot now days though.

My favorite Arkansas State Park. We stayed in a Rent a RV right on the river. White River is beautiful and we enjoy watching the boats on the river. The park has very nice camping sites, clean bath houses, full service boat dock.Great visitors center about a mile from the camp ground across the dam. Well worth the visit you will be impressed. Gaston's Resort is about a 1/2 mile from the camp ground.

Overall my camping experience was lower than what I expected. The white River and the location is perfect. However, there are some things that were an inconvenience.

1. Booking online and registration should be seamless. If booking online and paying for a campsite I should be able to fully register by providing the required information instead. I somewhat understand the need but I believe this could be improved.
2. Within the tent campsites please watch where you place your tent, even on the tent pad, as there are several dead limbs above which could be catastrophic.

1. The tent sites are in a perfect place within the park.
2. The park is well maintained and clean.
3. Access to water, bathrooms, and showers are within walking distance.
4. The cooking grills and fire pits are clean and in good condition.
5. Access to the river for boating and bank fishing is near
6. There is a Marina that has fishing gear, snacks, etc in the park.

This park was beautiful. The water was amazingly clear. The park was very clean and all the campers were very friendly. Rv spaces were clearly marked and well maintained . Very nice place to spend a few days.
