A life time of joy came from here, I felt like I was in Arkansas Smokey mountains.also it's a fisherman paradise. And if u are ever up there stop by beacon point in lake view great place to eat . The camps was great the bathrooms was great we will be back .. we got to see the caves

Great park and great 1st experience here. Scenic, peaceful, abundant wildlife, fishing would be good if it weren't for the massive amount of boats all day long. I recommend using a guide that knows other places on the river besides the section from Gastons to the dam.
The staff is very friendly and helpful, from the visitors center to the camp check in, to the marina/bait shop.
Park is very well maintained, from the property maintenance to the bath houses. Very impressed with everything the park had to offer.
A friendly warning to you anglers, some boaters/guides have a total disregard for fellow anglers, bank and wade anglers especially. These are a minority as most are very respectful of others.
I give 4 stars because most of the camp sites are very cramped and packed tight with neighboring sites. We were told the site we wanted had a tent pad, it did not. We were forced to pitch our tent in gravel.... not cool, but regardless of these 2 things, we will be regulars at this park.

I always love going to the visitor center. It tells some history of the White River and has a lot of facts about nature. You could spend hours here.

Alot of info. If new to the area, great place to get info and talk to locals who know alot of the whole area. And great views for pics. Doesn't take long so can stop by any time. And get information from wild life exhibits or talk to locals. Very well maintained and clean.

And excellent place to visit for a day or to come and camp for multiple days. It’s a clean and well maintained park. Being along the river, access to fishing is a few steps away. There is a small gift shop and a boat rental if such is needed.

The photos are from the perspective of just down river from the gift/fishing shop. There is access to a gravel bar to fish from when the river is somewhat low.

Very nice building with lots of educational items about the area. It's a great place to get maps or ask questions. Lots of parking great views of the dam.
