First time eating there and have to say, it's a nice classic cozy restaurant. Food was good. Friendly service, clean. If I had to say anything that needs improving would be replacing the broken shades on the light fixtures and bathrooms could use new window treatments and fresh paint.

I really like broken plate catering and diner. The food is delicious. I try to order at least once a week. The food quality, taste, presentation, etc is consistent. I've tried breakfast, lunch, dinner and desserts. I've always had a great experience. The owner and employees are always in a great mood and you get a warm feeling when you are there. They are the home of the biggest burger in the county.

Haven't been here in a long time, but was back in town and met my mother for breakfast here. She got the "surfin" omelette and i got the Manty Skillet! I loved the way that they chopped up the dinner sausage into small pieces so they got crispy. The cheese sauce was everything you'd hope it'd be. My mom enjoyed her omelette as well. The coffee was good and fresh. The prices are very fair! It's really all you could ask for!! Thanks Joe and crew!!

This place is utterly amazing. I have never had a bad meal here as I work my way through the menu. I simply can not recommend it enough. Every meal, whether unique or traditional, is a wonderful mix of flavors. Service is always friendly and attentive. When I have visitors from out of town, we eat here. It is one of the best culinary experiences in Manitowoc.

The hot Italian beef was good but definitely hot! The German potato salad was amazing! The bread bowl was very good. Will definitely go back and try other menu items!

After hearing rave reviews, we decided to try their Friday fish fry. It was incredibly disappointing. The “large” order of perch only had two small fillets, for $21. The fries were cold and extremely dry, they tasted like they were made the day before and reheated. The kicker is, there were about 5 employees standing behind the counter. You’d think the food would be fresh.

Broken Plate was the caterer for my 150 person wedding October 2023. I worked primarily with Lauren, who I believe is the owner's wife. Leading up to the wedding, we established a menu and had baseline details arranged. As the wedding approached, (2 months out) Lauren and I exchanged countless emails and refined every detail to ensure my wedding reception/dinner vision was achieved. I can't recommend Broken Plate more for your special event or wedding. Our guests had nothing but praise and we were repeatedly told how good the food was. To my knowledge, on the day of the wedding, everything went smoothly. Broken Plate was very reasonably priced and accommodating to our requests. Thanks for everything, Lauren! <3

Delivering a quality perch plate 2 miles from the restaurant in WI in the winter and have it show up well cooked and warm has got to be a challenge. BP does it right again and again. Have never been disappointed.
