My sister Barb. (Boo Boo) loves Bria of Mascoutah. The staff does the best they can with what the tools available. I love my sissy and due to my own health issues I am not able to visit as often as I would like. Bless you all doing Gods work ❤️🙏🏻✝️

It's been hard to speak on my sister's time at this place. She was already in a diminished state but got much worse in this facility. Constant urinary tract infections, infected peg tube incision and was only showered once in months. Gown was always dirty from green stuff coming out of peg tube. She had to get a j tube and actually had the chance of gaining weight finally and a nurse broke it by pushing the syringe instead of pulling to clear a block. It cracked and she was off to the Hospital again, unable to handle another surgery My Sister was ultimately put on hospice where she fought and wouldn't let go until being taken to Hospice In Missouri where our Grandmother took her last breath after a brief fight with pancreatic cancer. Jessica went to be with our Grandmother, Grandfather, her Dad and Gpa Jim Gma G. This all could have been prevented. The only Nurse that gave a crap or cared properly for my Sister was Maryann and she came off as a jerk but she actually cares about the patients. This was a clear case of malpractice.

My mom is home under Hospice care now! Thank God!! Bria was a HUGE factor in my mom’s demise. She has sustained two falls, prescribed medicine was not given to her, she sustained a UTI, she was not given assistance with food or water. My sister has documented everything. Elderly people need to be given grace and respect at the end of their lives’. It breaks my heart knowing how much my mom has suffered while at Bria.

I am a cna that was working here through agency and was just place on the DNR list for no reason at all with no explanation but i do know that Shelby the hr had something to do with it in which this is discrimination and racism and I wouldn’t recommend anyone to come to this facility and if you have family members I would definitely suggest you move them out asap as they do not have their best interests in them I pray for all the residents in here

My Grandfather was taken care of very well here. He loved all his nurses and CNAs everyone was very kind and wonderful. He loved celebrating small days they would plan and said that the food was enjoyable too. We miss him very much and hold this place dear to our hear for taking such good care of him up until the end. Thank you BRIA.

I’ve had a great experience with all BRIA facilities, as my loved one was transferred from one site to another throughout the years. The Mascoutah location is a smaller facility that allows more one on one, trusted relationships between staff and patients. The nurses are able to really tailor treatment to each individual resident - I highly recommend!

This place is HORRIBLE. Do NOT put anyone you care about in this facility. The staff is just there to earn a paycheck. The place reeks of urine and feces. The hallways are narrow, dingy and cluttered with various devices, chairs and junk. The patients get bare minimum care. They did NOT inform the family when my aunt was sent by ambulance to St. Elizabeth with EXTREME bedsores. She went in walking with a walker for rehab. She never received rehab because of lack of transportation. They kept cancelling her rehab and doctor appointments because of this. No one notified any family because they said they had no emergency contact numbers. She was there for over nine months and they didn't have an emergency contact number? This place needs to be shut down. Some of the workers looked like they were 12. They were in high school and related to someone else that worked there. Please do NOT put a loved one in that hell hole!!!!
