Super cute vistor center in Townsend, TN! The quilts show from the local Quilting Guild was very well done. The workmanship was phenomenal. The gift shop was fantastic with great gift ideas and high-quality products. The staff was very friendly and so talkative. We will be back next time we are on the peaceful side of the mountains.

Went for balloon fest. Lots to do. Lots of food choices. Music played during Lazer show was tolerable but not for me.

The Townsend Visitors Center is a great place to gather information on things to do in the Smokies. The staff are wonderful, so helpful! The building and grounds are clean and well-maintained. This weekend's balloon festival was so much fun!

I stop here every time I go to Townsend. They're really good about knowing what trails are open and closed, and letting you know what to expect hiking that day. I'm sure they know lots more, but that's usually what I ask about before hiking. Everyone is really nice and helpful, and sometimes you learn things about the area you never knew before. There are all kinds of souvenirs, t-shirts, hats, stuffed animals, books, maps, and other things as well. Definitely worth stopping by.

Nice visitors center located right outside the park in Townsend, TN. There’s a room inside their building displayed with beautiful handmade quilts by the Foothills Quilters Guild.
You can also pick up a valid parking tag to enter the park.

First time to the Big foot Festival!! So much going on. Lots of skilled vendors and tons of food vendors. And the guest are pretty cool. But if you wanna meet them u better come EARLY. ITS A LOOOONG WAIT.

The balloon festival was beautiful, but planning was poor. We bought the vip package. Due to how the area was roped off the general public had better views and seating. Plus there was a food truck parked right in front of the viewing area. To see all the balloons, you had to stand in certain areas. Even then you had the public sitting walking and popping up shade tents in front of you. The only plus was vip rode the balloons first. If its set up the same way next time we'll do general admission.
