Damon was great. My son & I fished for 6 1/2 hours. The area is Beautiful and The equipment is First Class. I was getting a little depressed not catching any fish for 5 hours. Then all of a sudden I got a hit. He fought for 10 minutes and we finally got him in the kayak. I was in hog heaven since I got my Snakehead 10.40 lbs and 32 1/2”. One helllofva Birthday gift from my son. My son caught 2 and Damon caught one. Once we finished and back on shore Damon filleted all four snakeheads and gave us all the filets. As I stated in the beginning, Damon was great. He was always providing guidance as we fished all morning long & into the afternoon. Heres a couple photos of my catch…

The team was so accommodating. Kacey was an amazing guide, we got to see Eagles, Herons, Osprey, Turtles and Muskrats. It was a low key, easy paddling and drifting tour. She also gave us great recommendations for food and entertainment and site seeing while we were in town. She even took this pic and sent it to us later in the day. Nearly 100° feels like temp, but it still felt pretty nice on the water. Hardly noticed it.

We had a great trip and caught our first-ever snakeheads. Our guide Damien was top-notch; highly experienced, very knowledgeable, personable, good coach, and professional. The gear was well-maintained and our boats were clean, roomy, and stable fishing platforms. We fished a picturesque bay with abundance of wildlife. Thanks for the memories!

I had a great time on my tour of the Blackwater! My guide was very knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife, we saw tons of osprey and eagles. It was a fun tour, I would highly recommend to anyone in the area!

This place is awesome and the manager, Kacey, was so sweet! The kayaks were great, clean, with comfortable adjustable seats! Blackwater was beautiful and we saw tons of eagles, herons, ducks, and geese. They also arranged for us to rent bikes on Sunday, even though they were closed! And when one of the bikes didn't work for us, they refunded the bikes completely. Overall, great experience!

Our kayaking tour with Blackwater Adventures was phenomenal. The area is gorgeous and full of wildlife. The staff was incredibly helpful. Matt welcomed us and got us excited about our trip. Our guide Mike was the highlight of the tour. The beauty of the area stands on its own, but Mike's knowledge of the history and ecology of the area was what made this a 5 star experience. He was great with our young daughter and made us feel confident in the water even though we had never kayaked before. I would very much like to experience one of the other tours Blackwater offers in the future. I highly recommend.

Blackwater Adventures Chesapeake does an amazing job of introducing visitors to the profound beauty of the Little Blackwater River. Our guide Casey was a delight to be with, and her great knowledge of the waterway and reverence for nature added to an unforgettable experience. After a thorough orientation and safety talk, we paddled off to explore the fascinating home of muskrats, ospreys and a juvenile eagle - all thriving just a few short minutes from the launch point. From Casey, we also got a sense of what life is like in Dorchester county and how important the preservation of open spaces and coastal marshes is to those lucky enough to live there. We plan to return to explore further.
