Trip of a lifetime! Traveling to Norway with Biotrek was a dream. Tiffany and Roger made all of our travel transitions easy, and made sure everyone was taken care of throughout the whole trip. They coordinated everything from making sure luggage was collected to organizing transportation to our various destinations to checking us in at the hotels. Accommodations were great, especially aboard the three-masted schooner, the Rembrandt Van Rijn, where we spent most of our time!
Our ship was able to explore the islands and fjords that are unreachable from the giant cruise ships. We enjoyed daily guided excursions off the ship, talks from the guides, wildlife viewing from the ship, and fabulous meals from the onboard chef. We even helped hoist the massive sails when the weather was right. We walked near glaciers, watched birds and seals in the water, hiked cliffs to see thousands of nesting birds, found polar bears and reindeer on fjords, and stood 10 feet from huge, bull walruses!
I was never nervous on these excursions. The guides were experts and made sure no people or animals were ever in danger. They also made accommodations for the guests who weren’t up to strenuous hikes. Most excursions had a less physical option, but you didn’t feel like you were missing out. When the weather was too rough, or a polar bear was on the beach we were supposed to visit, there was always a backup activity. We also spent a day visiting the northernmost research station in the world, Ny-Alesund, which houses the global seed bank!
The whole experience was unique and much more personalized than anything you could find on a cruise ship with thousands of people. There were only 15-20 passengers onboard, so we were able to get more familiar with the other guests and the ship’s crew. There is too much to describe here, but it was all amazing! I can't wait to travel with Biotrek again!

The trip of my dreams. I've wanted to go to Morocco with Sunny for years and this year just lined up. Her team on the ground, -our guide Muhammed and our driver Kamal, were fantastic. Every place we stayed was 5 stars including glamping in the Sahara. Each day really was an adventure and just looking down the alleyways provided a new glimpse of a mostly hidden world. We saw large tour groups getting on and off their giant AC buses and none of our small party wanted any part of that. We walked, a lot, and I swear most of it was up hill, but the places we got to were worth it. If you are even considering a trip to Morocco, or any of the other countries she leads trips to, give her, or her great "assistant" (way more than that) Alyssa a call. You will then be off on an unforgettable adventure.

Just returned from Namibia on my first trip with Biotrek Adventure Travels -- what an amazing experience. I was already familiar with Biotrek's stellar reputation: small groups, excellent guides, wonderful accommodations, and exploring the hidden gems of each location -- so my expectations were high! Simply put, I was not disappointed and I highly recommend signing on to any one of their fascinating locations. (This photo is from our visit to Twyfelfontein, a USESCO site, one of the most extensive petroglyphs in Africa with engravings that are more than 2,000 years old.)

The trip to Morocco was a unique experience. After waiting for over a year due to restricted travel due to the virus it was well worth the wait. Sunny and her in-country team give you a deep insight into life in the country; the people, the culture and its history. Traveling in a small group makes everything very personal. We finished the trip feeling we had made new close friends with the driver and guide who went well beyond what was expected welcoming us to their country. This experience all relates back to the planning and preparations by Sunny and organization.

This is our 4th or 5th trip with Biotrek, and just like the other trips things were meticuloulsly planned, informative Sicilian history with great docents, and an enjoyable group of people. Things always work better with smaller groups , and people get to know each other compared to some of the cattle-herding done by many. WE got to visit both locations of my wife's great grandparents in Acireale and Giarre, and Sunny's excellent staff support even scheduled a separate ride for us to the airport in Palermo as our flight to Spain was too early for all the others. We did a lot of walking, but it was invigorating. My hat is off to Sunny and her staff for such great planning , to include coordinating all of our flights, boarding passes, etc. , and our food throughout was excellent. The vinyard tour left us all impressed, and too many experiences never fail to impress. We'll certainly be considering future trip with Biotrek as they have never failed us in impressing us with diverse experiences.

Biotrek Adventure Travels is the only way to see the world up close and personal. The staff is very attentive and supportive. Sunny takes care of the details so you don’t have to, from scheduling airfare to 4 & 5-star accommodations. Her contacts in the industry are extensive and professional. My wife and I traveled with Biotrek to my grandfather’s homeland of Sicily in 2021. The sights and sounds of the cities were fantastic. Our guide was with us when we stepped off the plane in Palermo and stayed with us on a fourteen-day cultural and archeological tour of the island. The history of the island and its people span more than 5,000 years and we were able to enjoy both the ancient sites and modern conveniences at the same time! Oh yes, If you are a foodie this trip is for you, Sicilian delicacies abound including making your own pizza pie from market to oven.
