This was a lovely hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful and the rooms were cozy and clean. I almost didn't want to leave. They had a full breakfast bar and the lady in there kept it well sticked and very clean. It's in a great location to walk and get food and enjoy the town also. I HIGHLY recommend it!

Our room was very nice, updated and very clean. The pool and jacuzzi were a great and relaxing after a day of hiking in the heat.
Breakfast was very good and had a lot of options.
This was our first stay at this particular location and we will happily return.

Me and my husband expected a nice stay in one of the more expensive hotel/motels in Bishop, but soon things changed. We booked Best Western primarily for the pool + hot tub, the fitness gym, and the Continental breakfast, but found that the gym equipment was half broken and a hazard, and the pool was covered in black algae! I was so looking forward to a refreshing swim but was disgusted by the state of the hot tub and pool, pictured. I'm also pregnant and know that black algae can cause infections which would be incredibly harmful to my pregnancy.
Plus, our room they first put us in was filthy and had a clogged toilet with urine and toilet water spilled everywhere, and the tub was dirty and there was hair. Gross. This shouldn't happen! How does this go unnoticed? How are they sending new guests into dirty rooms? How are they walking past a bacteria ridden pool and continuing on? And I could've easily been seriously hurt on one of the gym machines as a part was missing causing the steel bar to fly into the sky when changing weights. Very unsafe.
Positive: the breakfast was good and the staff running it incredibly nice, but the toaster was broken so toast and bagels were null.

Never judge a book by its cover. This place was not pretty or particularly modern on the outside, but our room was delightful. The vanity area was modern and updated. The toilet/tub area was separate with a door. The tub looked new....no dirty grout, or surfaces left unpainted. All the fixtures in the vanity and the tub were shiny and clean and looked new. The beds were comfy. There were hookups to charge devices, and bluetooth for charging. The A/C worked great. The breakfast area was a huge surprise. BIg selection, hot foot that looked fresh. Most surprising to us was walking in and noticing a nice, clean floor and NO CARPET. The flooring was attractive and modern. Maybe our room was recently remodeled, and I would request that exact room again (ground floor, near the front.) Thanks so much to Ben for his friendly and kind attitude upon checkin. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

The gentleman at check in was great. However that’s where it ends. There is no elevator for heavy suitcases to the second floor. When I came back from dinner at 7ish - the entire parking lot was totally dark. I was told there were “dog runs” on either side of the hotel. With my flashlight - they were connected with not only dog poop but trash was everywhere. The hallways were filthy and gross. Once I was in my room, it appeared clean - but once my shoes were off - the flower was gritty and dirty. Will never go back.

Our stay at this Best Western was neither amazing nor terrible. The room was somewhat clean but could have been better. On the plus side, the water pressure in the shower was excellent, and the breakfast exceeded expectations.

However, the gym was disappointing—tiny and with no weights at all.

The main reason I’m giving this place 4 stars is the price. At over $250 a night, it felt extremely overpriced. For a Best Western, you’d expect it to be in the low $100s range. It seems the high cost is mostly due to its proximity to Yosemite.

The rooms are fine; my low rating is based on the physical structure of the hotel. It combines the worst of exterior hallways which force you to keep the curtains closed and the room dark if you want privacy -- along with a covered, lighted "exterior" hallway so that it is impossible to tell whether it is day or night outside if you do peek out the curtains a bit. Think of a standard hotel with interior corridors but with the room's only windows opening onto that corridor. The parking lot, which is the entire outdoor experience of this hotel, felt like a prison compound. I hated the place.

Absolutely the worse hotel experience I've ever had arrived at 2:30 lady behind desk was extremely rude wouldn't even acknowledge us at front desk all she could say was check in at 3:00 left and came back right at 3:00 only to wait 45 minutes to check in waiting in line for 10 other guests to check in with only one person behind the counter. The pool was extremely dirty Jacuzzi jets wouldn't even work. When we went to check out next morning front desk was locked tried calling front desk several times just to get a busy signal each time. Don't waist your money on this poor excuse for a hotel the staff cares nothing about you or your stay I would have been better if just sleeping in my car.
