INCREDIBLE! Is the word that comes to mind when I think of our two night stay. Don and Sam are great and made us feel at home. We felt like we had known them for years. The property and their set up is truly remarkable and they have thought of everything. On our second night we arrived late to the campground and it was snowing. Don had turned on the heat in our tents. It was so nice getting in to a warm tent. They gave us tons of recommendations on what to see and how to experience our first time to the Canyon. We cannot wait to go back and stay with them again.

We had a fabulous experience with Don and Sam, can't say enough good things about them. Don is an absolute gem, incredibly knowledgable, super friendly, and knows just about everything about Arizona and the canyon. His son Sam is an amazing chef, and takes after his Dad in care and charm. Don led us on an unforgettable hike into the canyon (where we became "1 percenters"), and the stay at his amazing glamping spot was so cool! Smores by the campfire, and great conversations. Our stay with Don and Sam was the highlight of our trip and we can't wait to come back. Don't miss out on these lovely people and an incredible experience!

I recently had the pleasure of embarking on a glamping trip with Arizona Luxury Expeditions to their camp just outside the Grand Canyon. My family of four, including two semi-skeptical teenagers, had an incredible experience filled with adventure, delicious meals, and unforgettable sights.

Our trip was initially scheduled for March 2020, but due to Covid, we had to postpone. Don, the owner of ALE, was very flexible and let us reschedule our trip three years later. Don was always quick to get back to me, provided excellent suggestions, and helped me with details on other parts of our trip. His advice was invaluable.

One of the highlights of our trip was the gourmet meals prepared by the talented chef Sam. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. It was a true luxury to be able to enjoy such delicious food in the midst of nature.

Our hiking tours in the Grand Canyon with our guide, Chris, were also a highlight of the trip. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and took us on unforgettable hikes. We were able to explore the beauty of the Grand Canyon while feeling safe and comfortable under his guidance. Because we were there in early April, some ice and snow were still on the ground. While other hikers were slipping and generally having difficulty navigating the trail, Chris provided us with crampons and trekking poles that kept us safe during our descent and ascent in the canyon. My skeptical teens said the hikes were the favorite part of our trip (inert mind-blown emoji here).

The accommodations at ALE exceeded our expectations. Our tent was spacious and decorated beautifully. The Pendelton blankets provided by Arizona Luxury Expeditions were another wonderful touch. They were warm, cozy, and beautifully designed, adding an extra level of comfort to our nights under the stars.

We were also impressed by the cleanliness and modern amenities of the outhouses. It was refreshing to have access to such clean and well-maintained facilities while camping.

The campfires with smores were another favorite activity of our teenagers, and the beautiful night sky made for a magical backdrop. Thanks to the owner, Don, we also had the opportunity to go on an Antelope Canyon tour and a Glen Canyon float trip in Page, both of which were unforgettable experiences.

Overall, our glamping trip with Arizona Luxury Expeditions was a lifetime adventure that exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable way to explore the Grand Canyon and its surrounding areas.

We booked a Grand Canyon/Antelope/Horseshoe glamping trip through azluxtours this past May 7-9th and couldn't be happier we did so. Don keeps his tour groups small and we were fortunate to be his only campers during this week and had personalized service by the owner the entire time. Don is energetic, engaging, entertaining and chock full of knowledge about the canyon, the Navajo nation and the history and people of that region. He made all our adventures go smoothly and was there every step of the way. A DEFINITE must if anyone is interested in seeing, hiking, and learning about the grand canyon, Sedona, and Navajo nation! He made this trip. The tent accommodations were comfortable and well stocked. On cold nights, a propane heater kept us comfortable in the tent. Chargers in every tent for powering up electronics (no running electricity or water). There are comfortable outside out
houses (with flushing toilets and electric pump water sinks) and shower facilities with modern heated water pumps). Don is also a fantastic cook and made us coffee and full breakfasts in the morning and a plentiful meal at dinner time when he would entertain us with stories of the region and his past escapades! Don and his team created such a memorable experience for our family! We drove through a snowstorm in Flagstaff to meet Don at the Grand Canyon, it was snowing when we arrived, and our first night in the tent dipped down to 9 degrees. But we still had the time of our lives due to the team’s preparedness, care, and positivity. I would recommend Arizona Luxury Tours to anyone looking to experience the beauty of the Grand Canyon without having to worry about anything! We showed up and the team took care of the rest. BEST.VACATION.EVER Don & Lorraine surpassed our expectations in all aspects of this trip. The accommodations were wonderfully comfortable, the meals and service beyond amazing. They went out of their way to meet all of our needs and tastes -- down to the Dr. Pepper my son likes! Their flexibility with the daily schedule was appreciated and knowledge of the terrain and history of the canyon invaluable. It made our "glamping" trip luxurious, educational and most memorable.

My girlfriend and I took the vacation of a lifetime traveling around the southwest staying in fancy hotels and eating at the finest restaurants. To our surprise, glamping with Don, Lorraine, Mark & Sam was the highlight of our vacation. Having the guides coordinate our schedules and know the area like a local was such a bonus. Lorraine was our scheduling contact and didn’t miss any details; plus being a PA in a previous life, took food requests and allergies very seriously. Sam cooks like a five star chef, customizing to our dietary requests with a smile on his face. Mark, our guide had a near encyclopedic knowledge of the geology, terrain and history of the area. Don sent us on our way to the next leg of our trip with a list of must see places, his cell phone number, and a lifetime friendship to enjoy forever.
