I was tensed based on reviews but the management here have worked had and I got to experience the results. The room was clean, clean bedsheets no stains of any wildues or cigarettes.

I came to this location and paid EXTRA for a hot tub as it was my girlfriend’s birthday weekend and I wanted to do something special for her since I dragged her to Lime Rock for the weekend. The first room they gave us was not horrible, the hot tub was dirty so we cleaned it up and all seemed to be on track. Then I opened the door to get us food and the door handle literally exploded into pieces in my hand. By simply opening it normally, I spoke to the service desk and he seemed to believe that I purposely broke the door handle as if that was something I could do. The next room they gave us was disgusting, so disgusting that when we turned on the jets on the tub, objects and contaminants seemed to flood the tub and secrete out of the jets. My girlfriend and I were no longer comfortable putting our bodies in such a tub. The normal shower tub had stains and spiders living in it seemingly from not being used in a long time. She didn’t even take a shower in it. When I confronted the front desk they gave me a run around and did nothing. The pictures on Expedia were very deceiving. Please do not go to this hotel.

A Horrible Experience:
On the night of December 2nd, at 10 PM, I checked into this hotel. As soon as I entered the room, it felt like stepping into an ice cellar (the outdoor temperature was 22°F). I turned on the air conditioning and set it to 84°F, but after half an hour, the room was still freezing cold, and the air blowing out was only slightly warm. I went to the front desk to request a room change, but the staff insisted that I needed to leave the air conditioning on longer and claimed that all the rooms were the same.

I sat on the bed wearing my down jacket, covered with blankets, yet I could still feel the cold. At 12:30 AM, I went to the front desk again to request a room change. The staff on duty came to check the room and then moved me to a different one. The new room was slightly better, but it still took another half hour with the air conditioning on to finally feel warm.

This was truly a terrible experience. Despite the extremely low outdoor temperatures, the hotel didn’t bother to preheat the rooms to save costs. Moreover, when a guest reported an issue and requested a room change, they failed to check the room’s condition and brushed it off by saying all the rooms were the same.

The employees were super nice but the room was just ok... There were "short" hairs in the shower when we wanted to shower, ick... And we reserved the room for 3 adults and there were only two towels for a shower! And not to be picky, but there was only 1/2 roll of toilet paper and no extra...
There was a microwave and fridge which was nice however! The AC unit worked very well!

I was in town for 3 nights in Torrington and I really enjoyed my stay at this particular motel.
First of , the owner and manager, Tina is such a great host , I absolutely had to write a review for this place !

She is there most of the time and very accessible. In fact, quite friendly, witty and sense of humor. I highly recommend this place for several reasons. it's very updated and clean. They are doing improvements, daily maintenance is very attentive. The value is very fair for this area. I travel often and this place is a gem.
great location to good restaurants bars, shopping centers, parks.
check this place out , Tina will work with you if you have a extended stay in mind. Oh yeah, safe place, super well lit , and Tina doesn't miss anything !!!

This place is NOT what you see on website. It's completely run down from the outside to inside. Everything about this hotel is OLD!! They charge a $50 pet fee for these crappy rooms with old bedding, carpet etc... my dog barely wanted to be there. Problem is to their benefit, there are no other hotels around that area so they can charge more $$ and get away with it. It's nasty!

I had a great stay at Americas Best Value Inn in Torrington, CT. For a budget-friendly option, it exceeded my expectations. The location is convenient, situated just off Route 8, which made it easy to explore the local area and get around.
