Very cool historical service station on Route 66. The first time I stopped by the inside was closed but the next day there was a volunteer there. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the station and the people of the town and shared some interesting stories. There are a bunch of really cool maps inside where visitors can pin where they are visiting from and it's so interesting to see how many people from all over the world have stopped in there. There is memorabilia (hats, stickers, pins, etc) that you can purchase, and there are several cardboard cutouts out front for silly pictures. The old gas pumps are gorgeous and the Route 66 sign for Illinois is right at the corner.

This was our first stop on our Route 66 road trip. The service station has been converted into a museum with fun relics from the past. It was closed when we were there, but we got to peek inside through the windows and see what they had. They also offer charging for electric vehicles. It's a fun nostalgic stop with a picnic table if you need a place to eat a packed lunch or stretch your legs.
