I cannot say enough good things about this place. My husband, our 5-year-old daughter, and I rented snowmobiles from them and the staff was fantastic! They were also exceptionally good and attentive to our little one. They greeted us when we pulled up and even took our daughter sledding while we changed. They sure made us feel like they were there for our entertainment, which is hard to find these days. The prices were modest compared to other companies and quite honestly we would have paid more. The guides stopped frequently to check on us and took photos of our family throughout the day. There were a few times I started to lose my confidence, but they patiently coached me through it. We also love the fact that there were 3 [expert] guides with us. It made us feel extremely safe and comfortable because they were constantly watching out for us. They do not double-book the tours, so we had the time slot completely to ourselves and devoted to just our family. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would! We will absolutely be back for more thrill-seeking adventures! Thanks for the memories, Altitude. You knocked it out of the park!!

I called 5 times during business hours at random times trying to ask some questions. I was unable to get a hold of anyone and so left 2 messages. Tired of waiting for a call, I booked 2, 2 person kayaks for a 2-3 pm time. My party and I arrived 10 before 2 at the Grand Mesa location to pick up our kayaks but the door was locked and no one was around. We waited until 230 pm and then drove down to the lodge where I had cell phone reception. I called 2 more times and left an additional message, again speaking to no one. I am only out the 12 dollar deposit, but the whole experience was a joke. 4 days later I still have received no phone call back, or the refund on my deposit I asked for. The company is a freaking joke.

We had an awesome time doing a half day snowmobile tour. The guides were great at teaching us the basics and were positive and fun to be around! The machines had hand warmers and were plenty powerful. Beautiful scenery too of course. Definitely recommend and would do again!

A great trip for first time visitors or people who want some adventure! I took a beautiful snowmobile trip with my cousins last year. We were new to snowmobiling and they were such great teachers. We rode on the trails for a few hours and even had some time to tear up a fresh field of snow! Just the three of us and the guides. They even took pictures and videos of us riding for us. It was a beautiful trip and it exceeded all expectations!

Our five person group rented four ATVs. Our one 2-seater was given less than half of a tank of gas for a full eight hour rental day. The ATV of one of our companions lost its entire brake system on a very steep downhill. This person was forced to crash hard and was thrown from the vehicle and suffered injuries. That ATV would not start back up as the brakes have to be engaged to start up so we had to figure out how to transport five people many miles back on only three ATVs. We have no confidence in their equipment, and it cost us nearly four hours of our eight hour rental trying to recover from the crash and return to the rental store. We were not offered any refund of monies paid for the inconvenience to the entire group. The young staff was admittedly shorthanded and obviously unable to handle the situation. This was not a good day.

We had an appointment and reservation for Tuesday October 8th. My wife and I were excited to rent a boat for her birthday. I made sure they had my name and phone number, we showed up early and they were closed. We waited 15 minutes past our scheduled time - still no call and no show. We have left several messages since and no callback. Their equipment looks great, wish we have enjoyed it.

My friend and I brought our own paddle boards and planned to pump them up with our electric pumps. Unfortunately, my car blew a fuse and therefore the lighter that we plug the pumps in would not work. Fortunately one of the boards was already pumped before the fuse blew.

We walked over to altitude outdoor adventures, and found that their pumps would not fit our boards. But the former owner who works there was very kind, turned her own personal vehicle on, and allowed us to plug-in our pump in her car. We proceeded to pump up the second board and were able to enjoy some time paddle boarding. Thank you for your kindness!!

Was on my way to a day of ATVing here for my fiancé’s birthday present and unfortunately hit a deer 10 miles out. We were only in town for the day and needed to take the car in for repairs and the staff was incredibly understanding. They refunded us immediately, and even came out to check on the car and give their opinion. The area is gorgeous and the employees are great, next time we’re in the area we will definitely be coming back.
