LOCALS BEWARE...

Coming home was a nightmare!
We arrived at the airport 1 hour early, while standing at baggage check in, we were told that since we did not download our electronic boarding pass in time we would not be allowed to board our flight. The plane was literally on the ground with one hour to spare prior to scheduled take off. I asked to speak to a superior, the woman I spoke with said she was the supervisor, I asked to speak with her supervisor and was told there is no one above her. We were not reimbursed our money for the two of us but were offered another flight at $75 fee to either fly to a location 200 miles from home or be forced to wait 5 days for the next flight returning to Monterey.

We chose to rent a car, which was approximately $250 and 8 hours of driving.

I have family and friends who work in airport management, Southwest and United airlines. Knowing all of these people, I know wholeheartedly that they or their respective companies would never treat guests like this.

In my opinion, this was by far the worst business experience I have ever had. At this point I won’t even go into detail about their hidden charges or the fact that their pilot had to delay our initial flight due to warning lights on their instrument panel that we were told they had to “reset” and complete “paperwork” prior to take off.

A vacation should be spent readying and enjoying and it’s the job of professionals in industries to help us do this with our hard earned money.

If you you are considering Allegiant, I hope this helps with your decision making. And as a Monterey local, I don’t think this corporation has a place in our hospitable community that knows how to treat our guests!

We weren’t the only ones, they did this same thing to a gentleman right after us. And of course, not even an apology from their staff.

Quite possibly the worst airline I have ever experienced, planes are from the 1970s all out dated technology. No landing gear to navigate fog or anything. Very unaccomoadating and add up to100$ in fees per flight. Not worth it just go to San Jose or sfo
