Was visiting a friend who lives in Alexandria and he suggested doing one of these tours. We did the Old Fashion Happy Hour tour and loved it. Matt was our guide and he had us cracking up the whole time. Would definitely recommend him for anyone that is thinking about this tour!

The only thing to outshine the beauty of Alexandria was the wit of our tour guide, Matt. We had a great time learning the history Alexandria, with a gentleman's amount of humor sprinkled in. They were also very accommodating of our large group. Going to try the Segway tour next time we're in town. Thanks again for a great day!

I did the Old Fashioned Tour - Pizza and Booze. It was really entertaining - Matt was funny - His website was hilarious and it pushed us into doing the tour.

It's been a while since I have been to Alexandria and the DC area. I first went on a family vacation when I was a kid, and I remember my mom doing research to find guided tours, etc. This past weekend, I decided to take a weekend trip with some friends and followed through on researching the Alexandria area. We went on the Old Fashioned Walking Tour. So much has changed - there are more local restaurants, unique boutiques, and indie coffee shops. I was grateful to find ALX Tours. The ALX team is hospitable, fun, and knowledgable. We saw George Washington's house. I had no idea that he lived there for a period. There is so much history and amazing architecture in Alexandria. Let ALX Tours show you what you might have missed if you were to have gone out alone.

We did a homeschool walking tour with Wayne and had a great time! I definitely recommend taking a tour with Wayne. We saw many interesting historic sites and learned countless quirky historical tid-bits. He can incorporate just about anything into the tour. You can tell he is brimming with knowledge and truly enjoys what he does.
