Highlighted by the following review: 'Highly Highly recommend. Did the zipline canopy tour today with my cousin. We had amazing guides and instructors Marissa & Steph, definitely request them. Besides the helpfulness with instructing on how we zipline but also help us with our fears. My cousin and i kinda terrified but with the help of those two we did it So patient, kind and made it feel comfortable more like friends and family then your typical tour guide. Definitely be back again'

A big group of us went rafting with little experience today. Our guide, Thomas, was incredible. He was very knowledgeable and his confidence was infectious. We had a great time despite the cold and intimidation factor. We’ve already said we will be back. Great experience with great people.

Went on an 4-6 hour whitewater rafting trip through Adventures on the Gorge. Whole trip was a 10/10, nothing they could have done better, everything was top notch, professional and fun. Our trip guide was JV and he did an amazing job explaining the rules and expectations of the trip. Our boat guide was Ben and he was awesome. Before every rapid he told us our boat plan of action and which way to swim. It was most of ours first time, and I felt like I was in great hands, and could trust that I would be okay if something happened. The river side lunch was phenomenal. Can not recommend this company enough.

We stayed in one of the 1 bedroom cabins (Old Nasty) recently. The cabin is basic but perfect, since days are spent adventuring.
One warning, the bed was HIGH. Chest high on me, since I am 5' tall. I had to use the bedframe to climb up. My kids loved the spiral staircase to go upstairs.
The hot tub was a real treat after a day of snowtubing at a local resort!!
Prior to our trip, someone reached out to me to inform me of after-hours checkout procedures. It was easy to find and open my lockbox to retrieve my room keys. She had drawn a route on the resort map so that it was easy to find our cabin in the dark.
Our TV remote wasn't working properly. The TV would turn on but nothing else worked such as changing channels. We called Saturday afternoon and someone came right out to take a look. When he couldn't fixed it, he called someone else from their house who came to fix it.
One of the room keys was on a bracelet, which makes a great souvenir!
Warning, it snowed shortly before we got there and it was pretty treacherous. If you are coming after snow, bring an AWD/4 wheel drive vehicle. Since it's the off-season, the on-site restaurants, etc were closed. We will come back when everything is open.

Went white water rafting here and it was so much fun! They really go out of their way to make you feel safe, and have the best rafting experience. The location was so beautiful and everything from the gift shop, to the bus ride was enjoyable. Our guide was Alaska! He was phenomenal. I will definitely be back!

Stayed in the Miles house. It was perfect for a big group. Plenty of room for everyone. Huge kitchen, laundry room, 3.5 bathrooms. It is 2 floors. Top floor is 3 bedrooms with queen beds, kitchen, laundry, living room. Bottom floor is 2 futons with pool table, then 4 twin beds in a room.

Our Boy Scout troop planned a weekend trip in August at Adventures on the Gorge staying in their cabins and participating in a whitewater rafting trip.
I am not exaggerating when I say that I was completely impressed from the start to the finish of our overall stay with our experience of the awesome program offered through Adventures on the Gorge!! The program and the way they do everything was an amazing experience!! The cabins were great; the breakfast and dinner was fantastic, the whitewater program was awesome. The lunch they provided during our whitewater trip was excellent. They also have a great store with plenty of selection for souvenirs. Our raft guides, Jo Bo and Shawn Riley, really made our trip a fun and great experience. They helped instruct our Scouts on the requirements for a Boy Scout whitewater rafting patch so our Scouts could earn this activity patch during this trip. Great job Adventures on the Gorge!!! We hope to return again next summer... Thank you for an awesome overall experience...

My wife and I did the lower Gauley for our 1st white water rafting trip. What an adventure. We had the raft of misfits. The other rafts were big groups. We were not very good at following the guide’s commands in the beginning. We became a pretty good team during the trip. Our guide was Andy. He did a great job teaching all of us. I highly recommend Andy and this company. We had a really good lunch. The river is beautiful. The rapids are exciting. No one fell out of the raft. I came very close. Everyone in our raft said we’d do it again. Awesome adventure.
