I renewed my license here recently. I made an appointment and was in and out in under 10 minutes! Everyone was very friendly and helpful, especially the woman who took my picture. I believe her name started with a J, she was very pleasant and professional.

Best thing the DMV ever did was allowing AAA do license renewals and such. Schedule an appointment online, come in and get it done in 12 minutes. Nice, quick, and easy.

8-16-2022 Update, I made an appointment for my driver's license renewal for 9:30 am. I showed up on time, was checked in and made to wait almost 45 minutes. I got up and told the person doing DMV stuff that I had to leave as I had other appointments and was told I would be next and that "I would have waited much longer at DMV"
1. That is why I booked an appointment here rather than DMV.
2. If I wanted snotty rude people to deal with, I would have gone to DMV.
3. Why make appointments if you are not going to adhere to them.
4. If I knew I would have to wait 45 minutes to be served, I would have planned on it.
5. I have been a member of AAA for 34 years and have never been made to feel so unimportant by anyone there.
Perhaps the person behind the counter should apply for a job at DMV as it would fit the attitude and service I received.

I just popped in here to get my passport photos done for a state license that requires them. The woman I dealt with was very nice and helpful. I was in and out of there in less than 5 minutes. I think I spent more time posting this review...lol. Did you know you can renew your drivers license there? AAA Avon was great.

They're awesome. It's my second time at the Avon location. Several years ago I went here after a disgusted moment at the least used DMV location in Winsted. Which one Saturday happen to be packed! The folks at AAA of Avon are wonderful. Simple and fast. Good selection of appointment times any one will find convenient.

For all the shade thrown at the DMV, I found the person who took my photo for my renewal to be far more professional than the AAA staff at the counter. Both staff at the counter were rude to me and also to CUSTOMERS after me. Paying for a "AAA" membership rates nothing with the staff here when it comes to their customer service interaction.
